Concern for the wellbeing of people, improvement of their living standards, and education of the physically and mentally healthy, smart younger generations are the priorities of the state policy implemented by the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov. Thus, impressive work is underway to develop the national health system in line with the world standards, large-scale transformations are successfully implemented, and particular importance is attached to improvement of the recreation system, promotion of the mass physical education and health movement, and the principles of a healthy lifestyle.

Every year, on the initiative and with the solid support of the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, our country widely celebrates the Day of Health Workers and the Medical Industry. A presentation ceremony of Volume XVI of the encyclopaedic work by the Academician of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan, Doctor of Medicine, Professor Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov ‘Medicinal Plants of Turkmenistan’ was held this year. The edition became a wonderful gift for the professional holiday of health workers. This book is a great reference and guide for physicians, the Turkmen people, and the world community.
