The honour and respect for the Ahalteke horses are known all over the world thanks to the concern of the President of Turkmenistan in the epoch of might and happiness. Turkmen Horse Day is widely celebrated on the last Sunday in April every year.

The Turkmen leader noted, ‘We will never relax the attention to our horses, as they are our pride and glory, our inspiration. Born on the Turkmen land, the Ahalteke horse is a symbol of strength, health and beauty created by nature and developed by the labour and talent of people.’ These words of the President of Turkmenistan demonstrate the attitude of the Turkmen people to their wonderful horses.
