Multi-coloured lights were lit on the Main New Year’s Tree of Turkmenistan to the cheerful songs and bright round dances of young citizens of Turkmenistan, announcing the imminent arrival of the long-awaited, beloved holiday full of unexpected discoveries – New Year’s Day.

Every year, a spectacular show – the lighting ceremony of the tallest and most elegant green beauty – takes place in the square in front of the Älem Cultural and Entertainment Centre, where large-scale celebrations are held following good tradition.
