A favourite book of the youth

The independence of our beloved Motherland is our treasure, which embodies the creative power of large-scale transformations in Turkmenistan, and the unity and integrity of the Turkmen people. Thus, the valuable works on the international legal status of independent, permanently neutral Turkmenistan, on the roots of independence and its historic significance are thoroughly studied by the people. One of such works is the book ‘Independence – Our Happiness’ by the National Leader of the Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. Published in three languages and illustrated with numerous photos, the book describes the achievements made in different fields in the years of independence.

The city of the future

The state programmes aimed at promoting the national principles, increasing the economic power, raising the living standards of the people, and accelerating the pace of development of the country are being successfully implemented in Turkmenistan in the revival of the new epoch of the powerful state. Orders and payments from passengers will be accepted through a digital system using modern devices installed in the state-of-the-art public transport in the city of Arkadag. The digital system will also control the traffic routes and the movement of public transport. Moreover, thanks to the devices installed in the electric buses, special mobile software will provide information about the route lines, name and number of the vehicle, and the time it should arrive at the stop. The applications will be available to all passengers.

Young people earn the trust

Most of the officials of the city are young specialists. Tree means life and wealth

The tree-planting traditions are considered a sacred duty in Turkmenistan. Those traditions are cherished in the revival of the new epoch of the powerful state. The spring tree-planting campaign in the country is a worthy continuation of the ecological attitude that has become a noble tradition. At the meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers held on March 10, the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov signed the Decree on holding a nationwide tree-planting campaign in Turkmenistan. According to the document, to turn the country into a blossoming garden, to enhance the beauty of its nature and to implement the National Forestry Programme of Turkmenistan for 2021–2025, it is planned to plant 3 million seedlings of various trees and vines throughout the country this year. Of these, 1.5 million were planted during the spring planting campaign.

A poet of his people

The literary heritage of Magtymguly Pyragy has been studied in detail in the years of independence. Our Hero-Arkadag Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted, ‘Magtymguly induced his contemporaries and people to realize the source of a just society, a happy life, to understand the essence of what was happening. The great poet wished his people to live a peaceful and prosperous life, to be smart and educated, and to improve the culture. He left a treasury of wonderful poems full of wisdom and wonderful feelings for the nation’. In the revival of the new epoch of the powerful state, great importance is attached to the celebration of the 300th anniversary of the birthday of the poet in 2024. Magtymguly wrote the poems full of wisdom and wonderful feelings for the Turkmen people. The value of the thinker's world of poetry has gone beyond the national boundaries and has become the treasure of humanity. The works by Magtymguly Pyragy give spiritual pleasure not only to the Turkmen people, but also to the whole world. At the same time, the poet's creativity reflects on the issues related to life. The thinker wanted to see his people and country free and flourishing.

A highlight of the year of young people

The regular VIII Congress of Magtymguly Youth Organization of Turkmenistan was held at the Mekan Palace in Ashgabat on January 28. The event gathered the representatives of the Organization from Ashgabat and regions of the country, promising students and schoolchildren. Taking into account numerous proposals of our compatriots and according to the Decree of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan, 2023 was declared the year ‘Happy Youth with Arkadag Serdar’. A model city

A new city, the administrative centre of Ahal Velayat, was built thanks to the great concern of our Hero-Arkadag Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov in the Turkmen land, which is located along the Great Silk Road and is the home to dozens of cities, states and cultures. Being constructed on the initiative of our Hero-Arkadag, scientist and the Honoured Architect of Turkmenistan, this beautiful city has become a model city owing to its unique architectural features and the latest technologies that form the concept of a smart city. According to the Decree of the Mejlis of the Milli Gengesh of Turkmenistan, the modern administrative centre was named the city of Arkadag, and this fact provoked great pride of the Turkmen people. It should be noted that educational institutions form a significant part of the facilities built in the city of Arkadag. The International Equestrian Academy, which will be added to the list of the institutions of higher education of the country, secondary, secondary vocational and primary schools equipped with the latest technologies demonstrate that the concern for the education system is always the focus of the state. To date, secondary vocational schools prepare specialists for the system along with several pedagogic schools. The cordial pride of people

A festive meeting under the motto ‘the City of Arkadag is a Model of Modern Architecture’ was held in the Malikguly Berdimuhamedov Palace of Culture in Yzgant settlement, Gokdepe Etrap on December 25. The Ahal Velayat Hyamkilik, the Halk Maslahaty and the Mejlis of the Milli Gengesh of Turkmenistan jointly organized the event. The meeting was dedicated to granting the new, modern administrative centre of Ahal Velayat the status of a city, to naming it the city of Arkadag, and to starting the second stage of the construction of the city. Representatives of the Milli Gengesh of Turkmenistan, public organizations, different sectors of the national economy, employees of education, culture, health institutions, the elders, the youth and other guests made speeches at the event.

The principle ‘the state is for the people!’ bears wonderful fruits in all spheres of our life. The main objective of those transformations is to focus on the interests of every citizen, the well-being of the people, their knowledge, intellectual capacity, and opportunities, which fully reveals the content of the state policy in Turkmenistan. As was noted at the offsite extended meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers held by the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov on December 21, according to the Decree of the Mejlis of the Milli Gengesh of Turkmenistan, the modern administrative centre, the art monument located in the park, and the children's health and rehabilitation centre were named after our Hero-Arkadag, because Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov was widely recognized by the Turkmen people and the world community as a great leader who made impressive historic achievements in the years of independence.
