World Children's Day is widely celebrated in many parts of the world, including in Turkmenistan, on the first day of summer – June 1. According to the Decree of the President of Turkmenistan, World Children's Day is included in the list of official holidays to demonstrate that Turkmenistan fully supports the efforts of the world community in helping the younger generations.

The concern for children is the safest investment in the future. Today's young generation is the people of the future, the people who will promote the development of country. The Sustainable Development Goals for 2030 include Goal 3 ‘To ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages’ and Goal 4 ‘To ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and to promote lifelong learning opportunities for all’. The above-mentioned goals are inextricably linked to the development and well-being of children.
