Not only people, but also cities are preparing to meet the kindest and long-awaited holiday – New Year’s Day. Ashgabat is decorated with bright, sparkling, truly magical lights, especially at night.

The public gardens and parks are decorated with multi-coloured luminous compositions, light projections and garlands, and at the crossroads of streets, monitors display congratulations on the coming New Year’s Day and broadcast colourful video films. Endlessly sparkling corridors and tunnels appear throughout the city owing to the New Year's illuminations with decorated trees and street light poles, creating a sense of never-ending celebration. The city became the cradle of thousands of lights on these days of the New Year’s Eve.
