At present Turkmenistan is currently taking significant initiatives that have positive results in developing solutions to the most pressing issues of the time. It conducts bilateral and multilateral good co-operation relations in order to ensure the harmonious development of the countries of the world. Not long ago the participation in the summit of the member countries of the Gulf Arab Co-operation Council and Central Asian States in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia of our Esteemed President where he put forward important initiatives fully confirms it. This high-level meeting was attended by the Presidents of the member states of the Council and the Central Asian states — the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Republic of Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as the Secretary General of the Co-operation Council of the Gulf Arab States.

At this summit, our Esteemed President put forward a number of proposals aimed at developing mutual co-operation in various fields between the countries of Central Asia and the countries of the Gulf Co-operation Council. They are:
