On the 12th of May the Inter-Parliamentary Forum of Central Asian states and Russian Federation was held. Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of the Milli Gengesh of Turkmenistan made a speech with the initiative of holding this forum. Maulen Ashimbayev, the Chairman of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Talant Mamytov, the Chairman of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic, Valentina Matvienko, the Chairman of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, Rustam Emomali, the Chairman of the Oli Majlis of the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Tajikistan, Tanzila Narbayeva, the Chairman of the Senate of Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan participated in the meeting.
Making a speech at the Forum our Hero Arkadag Gurbanguly Bermiduhamedov underlined the importance of the parliaments in strengthening the domestic and foreign policy, in establishing social justice and co-ordination, in strengthening and developing the democratic institutions. Then the heads of the delegates of the parliaments of Central Asian States and Russian Federation made speeches on the importance of strengthening such co-operation between Central Asian states and the Russian Federation, and on the effectiveness and helpfulness of the use of the joint work of the participants of the forum for all the states.
