Tennis is one of the fastest growing sports in Turkmenistan. This is evidenced by the number of people involved in tennis, tennis clubs, where experienced coaches teach the basics of this «royal» sport. Almost all French kings played tennis. In turn, Charles IX called tennis «one of the noblest, most worthy and healthy exercises that princes and other noble people can do.»
