The President of Turkmenistan noted in the interview with First Deputy Director General of TASS (Russian News Agency) Mikhail Gusman that sports and a healthy lifestyle are an integral part of the life. The Turkmen leader underlined that the feeling originated naturally, as a necessity for the body, in his childhood. The President of Turkmenistan noted that he was actively engaged in shooting, freestyle and classical wrestling, cycling and motorsport and told about his achievements. The President of Turkmenistan has repeatedly won honorary badges and other awards, the first place in his weight class at the Junior Championships of the Republic in classical wrestling, as well as at the competitions in air rifle shooting, held among juniors by the DOSAAF (Volunteer Society for Cooperation with the Army, Aviation, and Navy) organization. The Turkmen leader noted that he won the title of champion of Turkmenistan in skeet shooting at the military training competitions, and that in regard to equestrian sports it is difficult to imagine a Turkmen without a horse.
The President of Turkmenistan said that his working day starts early in the morning and ends late at night, and that it is necessary to have a good physical shape in his work.
