Turkmenistan is the only and first state in the world with the status of permanent neutrality formally recognized by the United Nations. It should be noted that Article 2 of the Constitution of our country states that the legal status of neutrality is the basis for implementing the domestic and foreign policy. Moreover, the Resolution on the Permanent Neutrality of Turkmenistan unanimously adopted by the UN General Assembly on June 3, 2015, reflected the firm adherence of the country to the legal status of neutrality and the promotion of peace-loving initiatives in the world.

To date, Turkmenistan is widely known as the country that establishes friendly and mutually beneficial relations. The Turkmen people celebrate the International Day of Neutrality in unity and solidarity and realize the progress of humanitarian policy.
