Chronic recurrent aphthous stomatitis (CRAS) is a chronic inflammatory disease of the oral mucosa and is characterized by recurrence of painful aphthae [1, 2, 5]. Under experimental conditions, Turkmen scientists have studied the antimicrobial, healing, and immunostimulating effects of 5% ferula root syrup in liver diseases, cholelithiasis, and the gastrointestinal tract [6]. However, to date, the clinical efficacy of this medicinal plant in inflammatory diseases of the oral cavity still requires full study.
