It was with these words that the holy Kurban Bayramy (Eid al-Adha), a holiday especially revered and expected by all Muslims that our country was celebrating for three days, ended. In his Address to the people of Turkmenistan on this significant event, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov expresses his sincere wish that this wonderful holiday that has been embodying the ideals of goodness and humanism goodwill, spiritual purity and mercy since ancient times will bring wellbeing to our prosperous Motherland and people and raise our pride in a happy life in the period of the Revival of the New Era of the Powerful State.
The philosophical and literary work The Meaning of My Life by our wise Hero-Arkadag contains the chapter entitled “Celebrations, holidays and spiritual roots”, in which Kurban Bayramy is given a special place. In particular, the author notes, “Kurban Bayramy that begins on the 10th day of the month of Kurban is associated with human sacrifice, as the name suggests...”
