Have a safe travel!

The month under the motto ‘Road Safety – Peace of Our Life’ is held on the initiative of the President of Turkmenistan in September every year, and has great importance in preventing the road accidents in our country. Thus, Turkmenistan attaches great significance to the road safety month on the eve of the 30th anniversary of independence. The officials explain the laws on road safety to our compatriots at the numerous public awareness events at the enterprises, schools and kindergartens. Promotional and explanatory work is very important in ensuring the traffic safety and in increasing the awareness of pedestrians and drivers about the road regulations.

An event to gladden our hearts

The collective lesson given by the President of Turkmenistan on September 1, Knowledge and Student Youth Day, has become a historic event on the eve of the new academic year and of the glorious 30th anniversary of independence in the year, which is being held under the motto ‘Turkmenistan – the Home of Peace and Trust’. Thus, the collective lesson on the history of our country, the duties and responsibilities of the younger generation has become a great school both for young people, and for every citizen, including in the employees of the scientific and educational system. The Turkmen people have realized this fact in the epoch of might and happiness. It is an opportunity to create, to build, and to beautify the human life, to develop and transform the country. This fact is evident when people understand the profound meaning of the speech of the Turkmen leader at the historic meeting with students and schoolchildren. Thanks to this speech, our compatriots have once again realized that one of the main goals of the President of Turkmenistan is to make the life of young people who are the future of our Motherland more beautiful.

Horse is pride of our people

Last weekend, the Turkmen leader took a bicycle ride in the foothills of the Kopetdag Mountains. During the bicycle ride, the President of Turkmenistan admired the natural uniqueness of the place, the beauty of the foothills and the magnificent white-marble buildings in Ashgabat, which is on the path to harmonious development. Later on, the Turkmen leader arrived to the Ahalteke Equestrian Complex of the President of Turkmenistan, and according to the developed good tradition, visited the heavenly horses and rode on a horse named Akyol.

The horses are wings of the Turkmen people. They have been close companions to their owners, both in good times and in bad days. Our ancestors had a great deal of respect for their horses.

Education is guarantee of happiness

Sport and education. These concepts are closely linked because a physically and mentally healthy person, who follows the principles of a healthy lifestyle, is able to plunge deeper into the world of knowledge. Physically and mentally healthy people have always been the decoration of any society. They make life more beautiful and inspire the society to make achievements. The President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted, ‘a person feels happy in a place where science, education, sport, health and spirituality are in harmony with society’. People emphasize with pride that this harmony is characteristic to the independent, permanently neutral Turkmenistan under the Turkmen leader in the epoch of might and happiness. Knowledge and Student Youth Day celebrations were notable for eventful programme. Thanks to the concern of the Turkmen leader, the dreams of generations are realized. It should be noted that ample opportunities were created for young people to receive education meeting the world standards. Educational process is conducted according to the national traditions with the important role played by modern technologies.

Sport and Youth Policy

Great attention is paid to the development of youth policy, education, and sports, and to the promotion of these important systems in our independent, permanently neutral Motherland. Effective work is underway to improve the quality of the education and to develop the professional skills of athletes in Turkmenistan. The reforms in the national sports system resulted in formation of the new generation of talented young people who are ready to make a significant contribution to strengthening the country's sports achievements and to enhance Turkmenistan’s prestige on the world arena. Turkmen Agricultural University named after S.A.Niyazov conducts the impressive work in this context. Young people spend their free time doing physical education and sports.

Wonderful stadium has multifaceted prospects

Independent, permanently neutral Turkmenistan conducts the exemplary work in the field of sports development. The commitment of the Turkmen leader is a great example for our people, especially for the youth, to follow the principles of a healthy lifestyle. The physical culture and sports movement has recently made unprecedented progress in our country. In this context, the role of multifunctional sports facilities, which are built and put into operation on the initiative of the President of Turkmenistan, is great. Ashgabat Multipurpose Stadium represents one of the most important facilities in the Turkmen capital and has excellent conditions. The stadium has great potential for the younger generation to grow up to be physically and spiritually healthy people. The 20,000-seat multipurpose stadium includes the outdoor and indoor training grounds. It has a convenient restaurant and parking lots. One of its main features is versatility. The stadium has a synthetic football pitch, a track and field track, area for the long jump events and for the high jump events, as well as gymnastics and training grounds. Moreover, Ashgabat Multipurpose Stadium provides 17 training halls for different sports. The first cis sports games to be held in Kazan

The Ashgabat Main Department on Sports and Youth Policy has recently held a promotional meeting under the motto ‘Healthy Youth is the Light of Future’. Digital system has great potential

As is known, a number of decrees and programmes have been adopted to modernize and to improve the library system, which is a special area of culture, and to encourage young people to get to creative work under the leadership of the President of Turkmenistan. In this context, the Law of Turkmenistan ‘On Libraries and Library Work’ contributed to improvement and modernization of the library system in 2017. The Turkmen leader emphasizes the necessity to organize the work of young people to develop their talents and passion for art, and to study the national musical art and ancient cultural heritage. As part of the on-going work in this context, the database of the electronic library system and the scope of digital library services are being expanded.
