The President of Turkmenistan holds session on social and economic development of the country

On January 13, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has held video conference session with participation of some Deputy Chairmen of the Cabinet of Ministers, heads of Ahal and Dashoguz Regions as well as the Minister of the Education. Current objectives of further social and economic development of the country and other issues of the state life have been reviewed at the session. First, the floor was given to Governor of Ahal Region Ya. Gurbanov who reported on current situation in the region, care of the winter crops, which is taken according to agricultural standards, preparation of fields and agricultural equipment to spring sowing campaign. The Governor has also informed the Leader of the Nation Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on activity of relative structures for implementation of National rural program.

Session of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan

On January 7, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has received new Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Korea to Turkmenistan Shin Sung-Chul. The Year 2020 — a Significant Milestone in the History of the Country

Time runs fast. So the year 2020 is over. It was the 29th year since the declaration of our independence and the 25th one since the acquisition of the status of permanent neutrality. Healing New Year’s Fairy Tale Bagabat

Last Sunday, the heads of ministries and sectoral departments paid a visit to the Bagabat sanatorium, located in a gorge at the foothills of the Kopetdag Mountains. As it is known, the new health resort opened its doors to vacationers on the eve of the 25th anniversary of the adoption by the UN General Assembly of the Resolution on the status of permanent neutrality of Turkmenistan. President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov took part in the celebrations on the occasion of the opening of the resort. Bagabat, covered with snow, became a really fabulous palace for holidaymakers on these New Year’s days. In the “blossoming valley”, and this is how the name of the sanatorium and the area is translated from Turkmen language, the trees, covered with hoarfrost, against the background of the majestic snow-capped rocks complement the overall picture, creating a feeling of magic and tranquillity. The Winners of Gulbaba Children’s Contest Determined

A solemn ceremony in honour of summing up the results of the state contest for awarding Gulbaba Children’s Prize, annually organised by the Central Council of the Magtymguly Youth Organisation to determine the best of the best children endowed with various talents, was held at the Centre for Public Organisations of Turkmenistan. Despite their young age, all of them, are already making a significant contribution to the development of national culture, art and scientific creativity, increasing the ranks of the intellectual movement of the younger generation of our country. The competition started in late December of the last year, and during the winter school holidays, after a careful selection, a special commission determined the names of the lucky owners of the title of laureates of this grandiose competition out of 183 contenders for the title of winners.

Joint session of the Cabinet of Ministers and State Security Council of Turkmenistan

On December 30, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has held last in this year joint session of the Cabinet of Ministers and State Security Council in the Ruhiyet Palace.
