Arkadag Starts with a Win

These days, the group stage of the international football tournament of the 2024–2025 AFC Challenge League (Asian Football Confederation) has started in Kuwait, in which the current Turkmenistan Premier League champions – Arkadag FC is competing for medals. Our football players started with a win last weekend, beating Maziya (Maldives) with the score 2-1. The AFC Challenge League, the third most important club football competition in Asia, aims at promoting football on the continent. 18 teams, divided into 5 groups, are taking part in the competition. 3 groups are seeded in West Region, and 2 groups – in East Region. The Turkmen clubs play in West Region, from which 4 teams will advance to the final – 3 teams that rank first in the group and 1 best team that finishes in the second place in the competition. It is interesting that only 6 clubs, divided into 2 groups, play in East Region. There, too, 4 teams are qualified for the final – 2 top teams in each group. It turns out that only 2 clubs in this zone will not advance to the next stage of the competition, while, 8 teams in Western Asia will remain “overboard”.

On 30 October 2024, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov received Alexei Overchuk, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, Co-Chairman of the Intergovernmental Turkmen-Russian Commission on Economic Cooperation from the Russian side. The guest thanked the head of state for the personal meeting and conveyed to him and the National Leader of Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov warm greetings and best wishes from the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin and Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin.

Cultural Days of the Republic of Armenia are ongoing in our capital city

As we know, the Cultural Days of the Republic of Armenia are taking place from October 27 to 29 this year in the «Sea of Wisdom - Magtymguly Pyragy». Within the framework of the Cultural Days, on October 28, the state music ensemble named after Tatula Altunyan from Armenia performed at the Mukamlar Palace of the State Cultural Centre of Turkmenistan. In our country it is learnt Pyragy's multifaceted legacy, examining his contributions to Turkmen language, social commentary, and enduring cultural significance. Pyragy's impact on the Turkmen language is undeniable. Prior to his era, Turkmen literature existed primarily in oral traditions. Pyragy, alongside contemporaries like his father Azady, championed the development of a written Turkmen language. His poems, composed in a clear and accessible style, served as a foundation for future Turkmen literature.

International Health and Rehabilitation Centre Receives First Patients

Several health facilities opened in the velayats and the capital of the country on the eve of the Day of Health and Medical Industry Workers of Turkmenistan. One of them is the International Health and Rehabilitation Centre for 400 patients. Its opening ceremony was attended by the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Hero-Arkadag Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. The new clinic that is the first specialised healthcare institution in the Central Asian region tasked to restore the health of patients after injuries and diseases is receiving patients. The NT correspondents have visited the innovative medical institution to learn about the features of the clinic. In this, we were helped by a neurologist of the International Health and Rehabilitation Centre Tumar Taganliyeva.

In Accordance with the Course Set

In the period of the Revival of the New Era of the Powerful State, the main goal of the policy of the respected President Serdar Berdimuhamedov is to ensure the further comprehensive socioeconomic development of the country and to improve the living standards of the people based on the digital transformation of all spheres of life of society and the state. A valuable work

As is known, Volume XVI of the encyclopaedic work by our Hero-Arkadag Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov ‘Medicinal Plants of Turkmenistan’ has been published recently. The book became a wonderful gift to the Turkmen people. The new volume of the book by our Hero-Arkadag has three language editions, namely, Turkmen, English and Russian. The volume was decorated with beautiful coloured pictures of the plants. The book provides detailed information on 106 plants of great importance in folk medicine. The main goal of the book is to improve the knowledge of medicinal plants, their structure, habitats, distribution, chemical composition, growth conditions, use in medicine, as well as the period of collection, methods, and storage. This information expands its significance for medical workers.

Our national pride

Great work is underway to preserve the purity of the Turkmen alabay, to glorify this breed on the world arena, to develop and improve the national dog breeding in the revival of the new epoch of the powerful state. The construction of the dog breeding complexes, the establishment of the Turkmen Alabay International Association, and the annual celebration of the Turkmen Alabay Day on the last Sunday in October vividly demonstrate this fact. Our happy people prepare to celebrate the Turkmen Alabay Day in the year ‘Ocean of Wisdom of Magtymguly Pyragy’. On this remarkable holiday, the President of Turkmenistan signed the Decree on organizing the international contest ‘Ýylyň türkmen edermen alabaýy’ in Ashgabat on October 27, 2024, as well as on holding the relevant competition in the field of artistic expression of the appearance of the Turkmen alabay in the works of applied and practical art, publications, photographs, and TV shows. New Edition of the Collection of Poems by Pyragy in the Kyrgyz Language

On October 17, a ceremony was held at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan to introduce the new edition of the collection of poems titled «Magtymguly» by the great Eastern philosopher and wise poet Magtymguly Pyragy, published in the Kyrgyz language. During the event, an exhibition was organized showcasing the works of national visual and applied arts from Central Asian countries, as well as books dedicated to the life and creativity of Magtymguly Pyragy.

On the 16th of October the presentation ceremony of the collection of poems by Magtymguly Pyragy translated into the Uzbek language was held at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan. The representatives of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan the heads of Diplomatic Missions of foreign countries in Turkmenistan, the representatives of mass corresponding means, professor- teachers and students took part in presentation. In the main building the exhibition showing the cultural values of the Turkmen an Uzbek peoples was also organized. This valuable exhibition showing the national cultural heritage of the two fraternal peoples made a great pleasant influence.
