Awards for young scientists

Oguz Han Engineering and Technology University of Turkmenistan has recently hosted the awards ceremony for the winners of the scientific competition held among the youth of Turkmenistan. The Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan and the Central Council of Magtymguly Youth Organization of Turkmenistan organized the prestigious competition on Science Day, which was celebrated on June 12. The members of the Government, heads of ministries and departments, representatives of the scientific community, professors and lecturers of the institutions of higher education, and students took part in the awards ceremony for the winners. The participants of the international scientific conference ‘Science, Technology and Innovative Technologies in the Revival of the New Epoch of the Powerful State’ considering the development of mutually advantageous cooperation with the international scientific community were invited to the event as the guests of honour.

The trust improves a person

It has become a noble tradition in Turkmenistan to name each year. This tradition paves a wide way to attract attention to the key areas of development, to the important work and transformations in our country. The Turkmen people live a prosperous life and welcome each year with good hopes and wishes. Each year is written down in the history in the letters of gold. The poetry by the great thinker

The noble personality and intelligent creativity of Magtymguly Pyragy have a special place in the centuries-old history of the rich cultural heritage of the Turkmen people, as well as in the literary world of the East. Thus, the great poet and thinker made an invaluable contribution to the world culture and to the philosophy of the Turkmen people. The wise poet loved the country with all his heart and devoted his whole life to the Motherland and its well-being. Thus, the poems about the Motherland, country, and unity occupy the most prominent place among the poet's works. Magtymguly Pyragy composed a great number of poems addressing these issues. Magtymguly wrote the poems of educational character, which foster the humane qualities in young people. In these poems, he aimed to give noble advices to his contemporaries. The poet called them to being brave, generous, kind, open-handed, hospitable, and condemned those who are rude, unscrupulous, arrogant, and bad-tempered.

Our white city, Ashgabat

Ashgabat, the white marble capital of our Motherland, has a splendid appearance nowadays. Moreover, the celebration of the Ashgabat City Day demonstrated the potential of the Turkmen capital to the world. The festive events were organized in all corners of the capital, and beautiful music created a wonderful atmosphere. Our white city, Ashgabat, is becoming more beautiful thanks to the concern of our Hero-Arkadag Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov. It should be noted that Ashgabat has become a large centre of sports.

Ashgabat gives inspiration

Our white marble capital has become one of the most beautiful and liveable cities in the eyes of the international community thanks to the historic transformations in the revival of the new epoch of the powerful state. Our white marble Ashgabat captivates with its beauty. A number of unique facilities of the Turkmen capital were included in the Guinness World Records and provoked pride of our compatriots. A number of cultural and social buildings and facilities in our country are called in honour of the capital. Ashgabat has confidently established itself in the status of a recognised centre of fruitful cooperation in sports, which has become a venue for major regional and worldclass competitions. A vivid example of this is the 5th Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games, held in 2017 on the arenas of the capital’s Olympic Complex and crowned with a real triumph.

A favourite book of the youth

The independence of our beloved Motherland is our treasure, which embodies the creative power of large-scale transformations in Turkmenistan, and the unity and integrity of the Turkmen people. Thus, the valuable works on the international legal status of independent, permanently neutral Turkmenistan, on the roots of independence and its historic significance are thoroughly studied by the people. One of such works is the book ‘Independence – Our Happiness’ by the National Leader of the Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. Published in three languages and illustrated with numerous photos, the book describes the achievements made in different fields in the years of independence.

The city of the future

The state programmes aimed at promoting the national principles, increasing the economic power, raising the living standards of the people, and accelerating the pace of development of the country are being successfully implemented in Turkmenistan in the revival of the new epoch of the powerful state. Orders and payments from passengers will be accepted through a digital system using modern devices installed in the state-of-the-art public transport in the city of Arkadag. The digital system will also control the traffic routes and the movement of public transport. Moreover, thanks to the devices installed in the electric buses, special mobile software will provide information about the route lines, name and number of the vehicle, and the time it should arrive at the stop. The applications will be available to all passengers.

The suggestions and opinions of young people were considered in the construction of the city of Arkadag, which is being built according to the smart city concept in the beautiful, historic corner of Turkmenistan. Most of the officials of the city are young specialists. Tree means life and wealth

The tree-planting traditions are considered a sacred duty in Turkmenistan. Those traditions are cherished in the revival of the new epoch of the powerful state. The spring tree-planting campaign in the country is a worthy continuation of the ecological attitude that has become a noble tradition. At the meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers held on March 10, the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov signed the Decree on holding a nationwide tree-planting campaign in Turkmenistan. According to the document, to turn the country into a blossoming garden, to enhance the beauty of its nature and to implement the National Forestry Programme of Turkmenistan for 2021–2025, it is planned to plant 3 million seedlings of various trees and vines throughout the country this year. Of these, 1.5 million were planted during the spring planting campaign.

A poet of his people

The literary heritage of Magtymguly Pyragy has been studied in detail in the years of independence. Our Hero-Arkadag Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted, ‘Magtymguly induced his contemporaries and people to realize the source of a just society, a happy life, to understand the essence of what was happening. The great poet wished his people to live a peaceful and prosperous life, to be smart and educated, and to improve the culture. He left a treasury of wonderful poems full of wisdom and wonderful feelings for the nation’. In the revival of the new epoch of the powerful state, great importance is attached to the celebration of the 300th anniversary of the birthday of the poet in 2024. Magtymguly wrote the poems full of wisdom and wonderful feelings for the Turkmen people. The value of the thinker's world of poetry has gone beyond the national boundaries and has become the treasure of humanity. The works by Magtymguly Pyragy give spiritual pleasure not only to the Turkmen people, but also to the whole world. At the same time, the poet's creativity reflects on the issues related to life. The thinker wanted to see his people and country free and flourishing.

A swimming tournament

The Turkmen swimmers won a number of medals at the Asian Open Schools Aquatic Championships in Bangkok (Thailand). Merdan Ataev, an international master of sports, won a gold medal in the 100-metre backstroke event with a time of 58.47.

A highlight of the year of young people

The regular VIII Congress of Magtymguly Youth Organization of Turkmenistan was held at the Mekan Palace in Ashgabat on January 28. The event gathered the representatives of the Organization from Ashgabat and regions of the country, promising students and schoolchildren. Taking into account numerous proposals of our compatriots and according to the Decree of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan, 2023 was declared the year ‘Happy Youth with Arkadag Serdar’. The President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted that the youth represent our great future. Those words demonstrate a great trust in the youth, and strong bonds between generations.
