Today, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a working meeting via the digital system with the participation of Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers T. Atahallyyev, who supervises the agro-industrial complex, and velayat khyakims. The National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty, Honorary Elder Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov made another working visit to the new city, where he familiarised himself with projects of the second stage of construction and conducted a meeting with the participation of the relevant officials. At present, the pace of the construction of the next stage of the smart city, which is being built on the initiative and with the active support of the Hero-Arkadag at the picturesque foothills of the Kopetdag Mountains, is steadily increasing. In the implementation of projects for the construction of a social and industrial infrastructure and in their development, a responsible approach is shown, taking into account all factors and requirements.

Enlarged Meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan

Today, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held an enlarged meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers via a digital system to discuss the urgent tasks of the country’s socio-economic development, and consider a number of draft documents and some other issues. Members of the State Security Council, khyakims of the velayats and Ashgabat city were also invited to the meeting. Opening the meeting, the head of Turkmenistan noted that, as always, a campaign of pardoning citizens convicted of crimes, but sincerely repenting of their actions, is being carried out, and we continue to carry out such noble events as releasing them from punishment.

Investments in Turkmenistan are Acquiring an Innovative Character

The Investment Forum of Turkmenistan, the International Conference on attracting high technologies and innovations to the economy of Turkmenistan “HI-TECH Turkmenistan 2024” and specialised exhibitions were held in the capital. The agenda of large-scale business events, jointly organised by the Ministries of Foreign Affairs, Finance and Economy and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, included issues related to the implementation of major projects in the country and the further development of international cooperation in this sphere. Among the foreign delegates were international experts, heads and representatives of leading companies specialising in the oil and gas, energy, construction, transport and communications sectors, authoritative organisations, financial institutions and research centres. The participants from the Turkmen party were heads and specialists of ministries, sectoral departments, banks and the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs.

The first floor was given the Chairperson of the Mejlis D. Gulmanova, who informed about the development of bills aimed at legal regulation of various spheres of state life. In particular, it was noted that working groups are making changes and additions to the Code of Administrative Offenses, the Tax Code, the Laws “On Automobile Transport”, “On the Ombudsman”, and “On Civil Service”.
