Turkmenistan – the Republic of Korea: a new Step of Parliamentary Diplomacy in Stirring up Strategic Partnership

The Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of the Milli Gengesh of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, who was on an official visit to the Republic of Korea, met with the Speaker of the National Assembly Kim Jin-pyo. The car of the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of the Milli Gengesh of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov stopped at the main entrance to the building of the National Assembly, where Arkadag was warmly and cordially welcomed by the Speaker of the National Assembly of the friendly country Kim Jin-pyo and other officials.

Topical Directions of the Development of the Turkmen-Korean Interaction are Determined

As part of the second day of his official visit to the Republic of Korea, the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of the Milli Gengesh of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov met with the President of the friendly country Yoon Suk-yeol, took part in a business forum and also held a number of meetings with the heads of leading South Korean companies. The main topic of discussion was the current state of the bilateral relations and prospects of the further development of the interstate cooperation. The motorcade of the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of the Milli Gengesh of Turkmenistan drove up to the main entrance of the Yongsan Palace of the Head of the Republic of Korea.

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov conducted a working meeting via the digital system with the participation of the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers A. Yazmyradov, who is in charge of the agroindustrial complex and the hyakims of the velayats, at which the dynamics of seasonal field work and issues of the socioeconomic development of the regions were considered. The meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan

Today, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov has held a regular online meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, which discussed priority issues of the state life and considered drafts of a number of documents. Passing to the agenda of the meeting, the head of the state gave the floor to Chairwoman of the Mejlis of the Milli Gengesh G.Mammedova, who informed on the work carried out to ensure a legal support to large-scale transformations in the country and to strengthen further its national legislation basis.

Today, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a working meeting via the digital system with the participation of Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers A.Yazmyradov, who oversees the agro-industrial complex, and velayats’ khyakims, to consider the dynamics of seasonal field work in the regions, as well as issues of development of the agricultural sector. The first floor was given to the khyakim of Akhal velayat Ya.Gurbanov, who reported on the state of affairs in the fields, in particular, on the practical steps being taken to harvest cotton and sow wheat in accordance with agrotechnical deadlines through the effective use of technical arsenal, as well as on preparations for the celebrations on the occasion of the Harvest Festival.

Turkmen Alabays is the Pride and Centuries-Old Property of the Nation

The complex of the Türkmen Alabaý Itleri International Association hosted celebrations in honour of the Holiday of the Turkmen Alabay, within which the ceremony of awarding the winners of the contest “Ýylyň Türkmen Edermen Alabaýy” and the thematic competition among representatives of creative professions were held. The Holiday of the Alabay is the youngest in the national calendar of Turkmenistan. In 2021, for the first time, it was celebrated together with the National Day of the Turkmen Horse, and this year, according to the Decree of the President of Turkmenistan, it is celebrated for the first time as a separate festivity.

Agreement on the Establishment of the Turkmen-Russian Inter-Parliamentary Commission on Cooperation Signed

The Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of the Milli Gengesh of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov left for an official visit to the Russian Federation. As part of the rich programme of the visit, carried out at the invitation of the Chairwoman of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Valentina Matviyenko, a number of bilateral meetings in Moscow were planned to promote the further progressive development of the inter-parliamentary relations and, in general, the traditionally friendly Turkmen-Russian relations. At the Moscow International Airport Vnukovo-2, the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of the Milli Gengesh of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov was warmly and cordially welcomed by the Chairwoman of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Valentina Matviyenko and other officials.

As part of his official visit to the Russian Federation, the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of the Milli Gengesh of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov delivered a keynote speech at the plenary session of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation and held a meeting in the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of Russia.
