Meeting of the State Security Council of Turkmenistan

Today, the President of Turkmenistan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the country, General of the Army Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a regular meeting of the State Security Council to consider the results of the work of the military and law enforcement agencies for January-August of the current year. The agenda also included issues of ensuring security and peace in independent Turkmenistan, strengthening the material and technical base of law enforcement agencies, and further improving their activities. The first to speak was Secretary of the State Security Council, Minister of Defense B. Gundogdyev, who reported on the work carried out in the National Army since the beginning of the year, the fulfillment of the instructions given by the head of state to strengthen the country’s defense capability. A report was also made on the measures being implemented to develop the activities of subordinate structures in accordance with the realities of the time, creating appropriate conditions for the service and life of military personnel.

The President of Turkmenistan Held a Working Meeting via the digital system

Today, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a working meeting via the digital system with the participation of Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers T. Atahallyyev and khyakims of the velayats. The pace of seasonal work in the agro-industrial complex and regions was submitted for consideration. The first word to speak for a report on the implementation of agricultural activities was given to the head of the administration of Akhal velayat S. Soltanmyradov.

The head of the state took part in the opening of new projects in the capital

Today, on Day of Knowledge and Student Youth, in the capital with participation of President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov a solemn opening of new projects, which harmoniously seamlessly blended in the magnificent architectural complex of the central city of the country. From the early morning in the territory of the complex, a festive atmosphere reigns. On the occasion of significant event, heads of military and law enforcement bodies as well as cadets of the military higher educational schools and students of military schools gathered.

Achieving Sustainable Development Goals is a Strategic Vector of Turkmenistan–Un Cooperation

Taking an active position in discussing the primary issues of the regional and global agenda and developing their balanced solutions, Turkmenistan attaches priority importance to strengthening the strategic partnership with the United Nations, where special attention is paid to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals. Cooperation in this important area is one of the key vectors of the foreign-policy course of the neutral Motherland, initiated by the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and now being consistently implemented by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov. Having officially adopted all 17 SDGs and adapted them to its national plans and socioeconomic strategies, Turkmenistan strives to fully promote the expansion of constructive international cooperation that meets the interests of universal wellbeing and progress. This is confirmed in the Priority Positions of our country at the forthcoming 79th session of the UN General Assembly, which will begin its work at the United Nations headquarters in New York in September this year.

Turkmenistan–Iran: Another Important Step Towards Strengthening the Interstate Dialogue

During his labour vacation, the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Honorary Elder Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov visited the Arçman sanatorium, where he met with the Manager of the Executive Office of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Vice President of the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation for Aid to Children in Need of Guardianship R. Bazarov, who was vacationing there. The Hero-Arkadag asked about the preparations for the next meeting of the Halk Maslahaty and the celebration of significant dates taking an important place in the life of the country. Doctor Arkadag also walked with his grandchildren and great-grandson in the world-class sanatorium Arçman, surrounded by green spaces and distinguished by a favourable ecological climate.

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, who is on a labour leave, took a bike ride along the Avaza national tourism zone on the Caspian Sea coast. In this regard, targeted measures are being implemented to protect people’s health, to harmoniously develop the younger generation and to provide conditions for comfortable and healthy recreation for citizens, especially during their vacation. Turkmenistan — UN: considering all humankind benefits

Neutral Turkmenistan attaches great importance to strengthening equal and mutually advantageous international relations, including the activation of multilateral co-operation with the United Nations.5-7, the visit of United Nations Secretary General Antonio Guterres to our country and the high-level talks held within the framework of the visit were of great importance in promoting co-operation in national and general interests. In the talks between the Secretary General of the United Nations and the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the importance of the large-scale national and regional projects implemented by Turkmenistan, ensuring the overall energy security of the Turkmen side, the development of broad international co-operation in the transport and logistics sector, the thoughtful use of resources, climate change and the environment were discussed. The active role in the solution of important problems affecting all mankind, such as environmental protection, was emphasized.

The National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty, Honorary Elder Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov made a working trip to the city of Arkadag. There, the Hero-Arkadag acquainted himself with the drawings and locations of future buildings and the models of new facilities, planned for construction within the framework of the second stage, and conducted a working meeting. Currently, work on the further development of the city of Arkadag is underway. This causes a change in the architectural look of the new city in accordance with the requirements of the time. A large-scale urban planning programme, initiated by the Hero-Arkadag and now being implemented under the leadership of Arkadagly Hero Serdar, is being successfully carried out.
