Turkmenistan Aims at Close Interaction with the Organisation of Turkic States

At the invitation of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of the Milli Gengesh of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov took part as a guest of honour in the meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Organisation of Turkic States in the city of Samarkand. The invitation to the summits of authoritative world and regional structures, of which Turkmenistan is not a member, vividly testifies to the high authority of our Motherland on the world arena and the recognition of its active and proactive position in developing balanced solutions to topical issues of our time.

The President of Turkmenistan held the online working meeting

Today, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov has held the online working meeting with participation of Deputy-Chairman of the Cabinet A.Yazmyradov, who supervises the agro-industrial complex and khyakims of regions to consider the dynamics of seasonal activities in the fields and issues of socio-economic development of regions. The first floor was given to khyakim of Akhal region Ya. Gurbanov, who reported on paces of agricultural campaigns–the gathering of cotton, sowing of wheat as well as preparation for International Day of Neutrality.

The President of Turkmenistan Launches the Autumn Tree Planting Campaign

In Turkmenistan, with the participation of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, the autumn tree planting campaign was launched as part of the implementation of the National Afforestation Programme. Mass tree planting campaigns have become not only a good tradition, but also a symbol of nationwide support for the environmental initiatives of our country, an example of the large-scale and consistent activities performed in the Motherland as a real contribution to the common good cause for the sake of preserving natural resources and sustainable development on the planet.

The meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan

Today, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov has held a regular online meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, which discussed priority issues of the state life and considered drafts of a number of documents. Passing to the agenda of the meeting, the head of the state gave the floor to Chairwoman of the Mejlis of the Milli Gengesh G.Mammedova, who informed on the work carried out to ensure a legal support to large-scale transformations in the country and to strengthen further its national legislation basis.

The President of Turkmenistan held a working meeting via the digital system

Today, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a working meeting via the digital system with the participation of Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers A.Yazmyradov, who oversees the agro-industrial complex, and velayats’ khyakims, to consider the dynamics of seasonal field work in the regions, as well as issues of development of the agricultural sector. The first floor was given to the khyakim of Akhal velayat Ya.Gurbanov, who reported on the state of affairs in the fields, in particular, on the practical steps being taken to harvest cotton and sow wheat in accordance with agrotechnical deadlines through the effective use of technical arsenal, as well as on preparations for the celebrations on the occasion of the Harvest Festival.

Turkmen Alabays is the Pride and Centuries-Old Property of the Nation

The complex of the Türkmen Alabaý Itleri International Association hosted celebrations in honour of the Holiday of the Turkmen Alabay, within which the ceremony of awarding the winners of the contest “Ýylyň Türkmen Edermen Alabaýy” and the thematic competition among representatives of creative professions were held. The Holiday of the Alabay is the youngest in the national calendar of Turkmenistan. In 2021, for the first time, it was celebrated together with the National Day of the Turkmen Horse, and this year, according to the Decree of the President of Turkmenistan, it is celebrated for the first time as a separate festivity.

Agreement on the Establishment of the Turkmen-Russian Inter-Parliamentary Commission on Cooperation Signed

The Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of the Milli Gengesh of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov left for an official visit to the Russian Federation. As part of the rich programme of the visit, carried out at the invitation of the Chairwoman of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Valentina Matviyenko, a number of bilateral meetings in Moscow were planned to promote the further progressive development of the inter-parliamentary relations and, in general, the traditionally friendly Turkmen-Russian relations. At the Moscow International Airport Vnukovo-2, the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of the Milli Gengesh of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov was warmly and cordially welcomed by the Chairwoman of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Valentina Matviyenko and other officials.

Turkmenistan–Russia: a New Level of the Inter-Parliamentary Relations

As part of his official visit to the Russian Federation, the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of the Milli Gengesh of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov delivered a keynote speech at the plenary session of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation and held a meeting in the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of Russia. The motorcade of the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of the Milli Gengesh headed to the building of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation.

As part of his official visit to the Russian Federation, the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of the Milli Gengesh of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov met with the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin. In the afternoon, the motorcade of the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of the Milli Gengesh arrived at the Kremlin Palace, where the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin warmly welcomed the Hero-Arkadag.

On the 14th of October our Esteemed President Serdar Berdimuhamedov paid the two days state visit in order to take part in the two summit meetings, in the session of  the Council of the Heads of the CIS and  in the «Central Asia-Russia» Summit held in Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan Republic. Ilham Aliyev, President of Azerbaijan Republic, Nickol Pashinyan, the Prime Minister of  Armenian Republic, Alexander Lukashenko, the President of the Republic of Belarus, Sadyr Japarov, the President of the Kirghiz Republic, Vladimir Putin, President of Russian Federation, Emomali Rakhmon, the President of the Tajikistan Republic, Shavkat  Mirziyoyev, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Sergey Lebedev, the Head, the Executor Secretary of the CIS took part in the high level meeting held under the Chairmanship of the Head of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The session of  the Council of the Heads of the CIS being held in the «Almata» Congress Centre the President Kasym-Jomart Tokayev congratulating the participants, underlining the participation of Serdar Berdimuhamedov in this meeting for the first time wished him great successes in his state work in the name of the Leaders of the CIS.

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov Attends the Ceremony on the Occasion of Memorial Day On October 6, a mournful date is celebrated in Turkmenistan – the Day of Remembrance of the victims of the 1948 Ashgabat earthquake and the heroes who fell in the battlefields of all wars.
