Today, the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, who is on a working visit to Astana, met with the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. Having warmly greeted each other, the interlocutors expressed satisfaction with the opportunity to exchange views in a personal conversation on topical issues of multifaceted interstate cooperation built on the principles of trust, equality and mutual consideration of national interests.

On 2 September 2024, the National Leader of Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov met with the Chairman of the Board of the Turkish company “Rönesans Holding” Erman Ilıcak. Thanking the National Leader of Turkmen people for the meeting, the Turkish entrepreneur noted the importance of trust of the Turkmen side shown to “Rönesans Holding”, which was assigned the construction of the complex of new premises of the Specialized Military School named after Berdimuhamet Annayev.

Turkmen-Iranian relations have attained a qualitatively new level

On 28 August 2024, the National Leader of Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov was on a working visit to the Islamic Republic of Iran. Upon arrival to Tehran, the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty was welcomed by high-ranking officials of the Islamic Republic of Iran at the Mehrabad International Airport. There, the National Leader of Turkmen people had a brief meeting with the Minister of Roads and Urban Development of Iran Ms. Farzaneh Sadegh Malvajerd. The sides emphasized the strategic nature of partnership between Turkmenistan and Iran based on trust and mutual respect.

Turkmenistan — UN: Cooperation for the Sake of Peace and Creation

For over 30 years, Turkmenistan, as a full and active member of the United Nations, continues to make a significant contribution to the implementation of the principles of its Charter. Defending the importance of peaceful coexistence, preventive diplomacy and equal dialogue, Turkmenistan has always advocated constructive cooperation on the international arena. In preparation for the celebration of the 30th anniversary of neutrality in 2025 and the implementation of the UN General Assembly Resolution declaring the next year the International Year of Peace and Trust, Turkmenistan will continue to actively interact with partners. Specific steps taken by the state are reflected in the priority positions of Turkmenistan, which will be announced at the 79th session of the UN General Assembly. Under the leadership of the esteemed President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, Turkmenistan is actively preparing for the start of the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly. As a country that has officially adopted all 17 Sustainable Development Goals and adapted them to national plans and strategies for socioeconomic development, Turkmenistan calls for further strengthening multilateral cooperation in all key areas of society.

The President of Turkmenistan participated in the Sixth Consultative Meeting of Heads of Central Asian States

On August 9, 2024, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov had a working visit to the Republic of Kazakhstan to participate in the Sixth Consultative Meeting of Heads of State of Central Asia. The Presidents of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Republic of Tajikistan and the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan also arrived in Astana to participate in the Summit. National Exhibition of Turkmenistan in Tashkent

In Tashkent, the capital of the Republic of Uzbekistan, a two-day National Exhibition of Turkmen Goods, in which various ministries, departments and individuals actively participated, was held. Meeting of the council of heads of government of the commonwealth of Independent states

On May 24, 2024, a meeting of the Council of Heads of Government of the Commonwealth of Independent States was held at the capital's Garagum Hotel. The delegation of Turkmenistan was headed by the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Kh. Geldimyradov. Addressing the participants of the meeting, the head of the delegation of Turkmenistan conveyed greetings and wishes for successful work on behalf of the President of Turkmenistan. As a Sign of Friendly Relations

Cooperation with a Projection for Future Development

A meeting of the Council of Heads of Government of the Commonwealth of Independent States was held in Ashgabat on May 24. With the participation of the heads of delegations, the meeting chaired by Mikhail Mishustin, Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation, who is Chairman of the Council of Heads of Government of the Commonwealth of Independent States in 2024, was held in a narrow format.
