A model city

Digital systems, smart and green technologies, and artificial intelligence are introduced into all sectors of the national economy to create excellent conditions for the people to live a happy life in our country under the leadership of the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov in the revival of the new epoch of the powerful state. The city of Arkadag received three awards, namely, ‘WSCE 2024 Smart City Excellence Award’, ‘WSCE 2024 Foreign City Award’, ‘WSCE 2024 Contribution Award’. The Turkmen people were particularly proud that only the city of Arkadag was awarded ‘WSCE 2024 Smart City Excellence Award’ at the international exhibition held in Seoul, the capital of the Republic of Korea, in September of the year ‘Ocean of Wisdom of Magtymguly Pyragy’. On December 18, the international scientific and practical conference ‘Smart City: Management, Digital Technologies, Smart and Artificial Intelligence Technologies, Security, Economics’ held at Oguz Han Engineering and Technology University of Turkmenistan demonstrated the opportunities of the city of Arkadag, built at the initiative of the National Leader of the Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov.

An invaluable guide

The presentation ceremonies of the book ‘Jewel of the Mind’, which originates from the long-term scientific research conducted by the National Leader of the Turkmen people, our Hero-Arkadag Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, have become particularly significant events for educational workers. This literary work, based on scientific information, consists of two sections, namely, ‘Visit to History’ and ‘Spiritual Legacy’. The first part is dedicated to the rich history of the Turkmen people, and the second one tells about the spiritual values. Concern for the younger generations, who represent the future of our Motherland, is a priority of the state policy in our country. The President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov attaches special importance to the issues related to educating young people, realizing their creative potential, and creating excellent conditions for their practice in the chosen professions and advances in science. Turkmenistan ensures comprehensive support for the youth and protects their rights and interests. The development of sports, physical culture, and health system is one of the key conditions for building a healthy society. Turkmenistan fulfils the main tasks of supporting sports, strengthening the national health, combating harmful habits, developing an effective system for educating the younger generations in the spirit of love for sports and respect for honest labour, and creating a reliable basis for raising the Turkmen sports to the world level. The youth implement the national programmes that will give a new impetus to the rapid development of the Motherland in the near future. Glory of the Ahalteke horses

The contribution of the Turkmen people, known as one of the most ancient nations on the Earth, to the development of world culture is immeasurable. Our compatriots are proud that this fact has been widely recognized by the world community in the revival of the new epoch of the powerful state. Our heavenly horses embody the beauty of the Motherland, represent one of the main national treasures, provoke pride and glorify the Turkmen people in our wonderful epoch. The development of the horse breeding traditions inherited from our ancestors indicates the continuation of the great work initiated by the National Leader of the Turkmen people, our Hero-Arkadag Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and implemented by the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov. It should be noted that the national traditions of the Turkmen people related to the arts of breeding the Ahalteke horses and creating the artistic products to decorate these horses, are cherished and given a new shape, preserving the original traditions.

The home of medicinal plants

Concern for the wellbeing of people, improvement of their living standards, and education of the physically and mentally healthy, smart younger generations are the priorities of the state policy implemented by the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov. The ceremony of presentation of the new publication by our Hero Arkadag

On the 3rd of November the ceremony of presentation of the publication  of the new work «Jewel of the mind» by our Hero Arkadag took place at the Mukamlar Palace of the cultural centre of Turkmenistan. The heads of ministries and branch administrative bodies, the instructors of higher educational institutions and students  took part in the ceremony. The participants of the ceremony of presentation congratulating from the bottom of the heart the publication of the new work «Jewel of the mind» by our Hero Arkadag wished him a great success in future. Besides that, the effective speeches at the presentation ceremony increasing the feeling of patriotism of participants, called upon the citizens to work hard to develop more  our Motherland. As it was noted, the presentation of this work to our people has a great meaning before the International Neutral Day and the 29th Anniversary of our Neutrality.

The epoch dreamed of by the poet

Magtymguly Pyragy left an indelible mark on the spiritual world of the Turkmen people and created brilliant literary works, which become a spiritual value for humanity. The great poet is highly respected in our country. The concern of our Hero-Arkadag Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov for implementation the ideas of the thinker strengthened unity, solidarity, and humanity in the international relations. The construction of monuments to Magtymguly and the publication of his poems in friendly countries indicate that the number of his admirers is growing. The ideas of the thinker were comprehensively studied and developed by the following generations. The Turkmen poets continued his literary school. In our wonderful epoch, the heritage of Magtymguly Pyragy is widely promoted in different countries of the world. Our pride in permanent neutrality

Turkmenistan is the only and first state in the world with the status of permanent neutrality formally recognized by the United Nations. It should be noted that Article 2 of the Constitution of our country states that the legal status of neutrality is the basis for implementing the domestic and foreign policy. Moreover, the Resolution on the Permanent Neutrality of Turkmenistan unanimously adopted by the UN General Assembly on June 3, 2015, reflected the firm adherence of the country to the legal status of neutrality and the promotion of peace-loving initiatives in the world. To date, Turkmenistan is widely known as the country that establishes friendly and mutually beneficial relations. The Turkmen people celebrate the International Day of Neutrality in unity and solidarity and realize the progress of humanitarian policy.

A unique encyclopaedia

The multi-volume encyclopaedic work ‘Medicinal Plants of Turkmenistan’ by our Hero-Arkadag Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov is based on the best experience of prominent scientists of the Eastern medicine and the Turkmen physicians who use the natural resources and methods on a regular basis and pass them from generation to generation. The book describes in detail the healing properties of medicinal plants, their use in clinical and folk medicine. Thus, this unique encyclopaedia serves as a treasury of knowledge about the healing properties of plants growing on the Turkmen soil and effectively used for centuries to treat various diseases. In the multi-volume encyclopaedic work ‘Medicinal Plants of Turkmenistan’, our Hero-Arkadag introduces readers to the cultivated and wild plants. A sports festival in Ashgabat

The impressive work implemented in the field of developing high-level sports in the country has yielded positive results recognized at the international level thanks to the concern of the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and our Hero-Arkadag Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov in the new historic epoch. In this context, a large sports festival in the Turkmen capital – Ashgabat Open 2024 – the U14 international tennis tournament became a recognition of the sports prestige of our Motherland. The athletes from many countries gathered in the Turkmen capital to take part in the international event organized in the year ‘Ocean of Wisdom of Magtymguly Pyragy’. Namely, six athletes from Uzbekistan, three players from the United Arab Emirates, two participants from the Islamic Republic of Iran, Tajikistan and Malaysia, one representative from Turkey, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, Jordan, India and Kazakhstan compete in the international tournament. 42 young tennis players of our country were registered to take part in the event.

The principles of a healthy lifestyle

Protection of the national health is a priority of the state policy, which was initiated by the National Leader of the Turkmen people, our Hero-Arkadag Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and is being implemented by the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov. Numerous health centres, hospitals, and sanatoria provided with the most advanced medical equipment were built and put into operation in all regions of the country. As is known, our Hero-Arkadag contributes to the protection of the health of the younger generations, who represent the future of our Motherland. The Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation for Aid to Children in Need of Guardianship is aimed at these measures. To date, the organisation implements large-scale work to protect and restore children's health. Following the principles of friendship, brotherhood, good neighbourliness, and humanity of the Turkmen people, the Foundation provides humanitarian aid to the children of different countries.

Turkmenistan holds a number of festive events in the year of the 300th anniversary of the birth of Magtymguly Pyragy, the great poet and thinker of the East, and celebrates this anniversary at the international level. The President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted that the celebration of the anniversary of the birth of Magtymguly Pyragy, the great poet and thinker of the Turkmen people, has become the international holiday. Protecting the human dignity

Large-scale work is underway to improve the legislation in our independent, permanently neutral country. The main objective of improving the legal system is to create a reliable legal framework for the prosperity of the country. To date, the labour legislation of Turkmenistan is being improved on the basis of gathered experience and generally recognized international legal norms. These norms are aimed at realizing the right of a person to work, to choose a profession, occupation and workplace according to the will, healthy and safe working conditions and are modernized on a regular basis.
