«7/24. tm» №24 (211), 10.06.2024 At the initiative of the diplomatic missions of Turkmenistan in foreign countries, World Bicycle Day was marked with mass bicycle rides and sporting events. They took place on June 1-3. Addressing the participants of the sports actions, the heads of diplomatic missions emphasised that sports diplomacy is an important component of the foreign policy strategy of the President of Turkmenistan aimed at strengthening peace and good neighbourliness, boosting international cooperation in sports, promoting a healthy lifestyle and building an environmental culture.

The conference called «Your name is in our hearts, Pyragy»

Every day of the country under the leadership of our Esteemed President is devoted to historical events and festivals. In the year «Magtymguly Pyragy» in honor of the 300th anniversary of the birth of Magtymguly Pyragy, the monument of the wise poet and the «Magtymguly Pyragy» cultural-park complex at the foot of the beautiful mountain of Kopetdag testify to this. Another good news for our country is the book of his selected works called «Magtymguly», which is a gift to our people. Today, the presentation of this book continues on a wide scale in all sectors.

Ceremony of Awarding Art Contest Winners Takes Place in Ashgabat

The closing and award ceremony of the art contest “Biz – Arkadag Serdarly Watanyň bagtyýar nesilleri”, announced by the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation for Aid to Children in Need of Guardianship, took place at the Maslahat Kösgi Palace to mark International Children’s Day that is widely and solemnly celebrated in Turkmenistan. The art contest, aimed at instilling a sense of patriotism in children, encouraging them to engage in arts, developing their artistic talents and expanding their worldview, featured the works reflecting their love of the Motherland, homeland, family values, beautiful nature and national heritage.

“Turkmenistan – the Country of Happy Children”

Under this motto, a festive conference timed to coincide with International Children’s Day was held at the Scientific and Clinical Centre for Maternal and Child Health. In the conference, heads and representatives of the Ministry and institutions of domestic healthcare, the Myrat Garriyev State Medical University of Turkmenistan and UN agencies accredited to our country took part. The honorary guests of the celebration were children under the patronage of the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation for Aid to Children in Need of Guardianship, who completed the necessary courses of treatment and restored their health. On this festive day, young Turkmen citizens, accompanied by their parents, arrived in the capital from all velayats of the country.

Happy Vacations Have Started

The Bagtyýarlyk Children’s Health Centre of the hyakimlik of the city of Turkmenabat welcomed the first group of schoolchildren. Children from all etraps and cities of the Lebap velayat from six to fourteen years old will enjoy interesting events, excursions to museums, historical monuments and beautiful places of the velayat. The administration, educators and technical staff of the Centre prepared thoroughly for the reception of the children. All twenty days of the first shift are scheduled to the minute. Experienced teachers were selected to work at the Centre, whose work plans include interesting educational and interactive games, competitions, sports and other events. Meetings with representatives of public organisations, who hold conversations with children on different topics every season, are also planned.

International Universal Exhibition “White City — Ashgabat”

The XXIII International Universal Exhibition entitled “White City – Ashgabat” was held in the capital, demonstrating achievements, accumulated work experience and prospects in the field of urban planning, architecture and the formation of urban infrastructure in modern Turkmenistan. The organisers of the show – the hyakimlik of Ashgabat and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the country – offer the widest range of topics of interest for mutually beneficial international cooperation. Among them are construction, electric power, the processing and light industries, design and everything that is included in the concept of urban life.

In Every Drawing is Love of the Motherland

An exhibition of children’s drawings was held at the Centre for Public Organisations of Turkmenistan, which aroused great interest among schoolchildren, students and representatives of the older generation. These were creative works that reached the finals, passing the qualifying rounds at the etrap and velayat, Ashgabat and Arkadag levels and were submitted to the competition “Biz – Arkadag Serdarly Watanyň bagtyýar nesilleri”. The creative competition was organised under the patronage of the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation for Aid to Children in Need of Guardianship with the aim of identifying talented youth and encouraging their creative abilities.

Forum “Türkmen-Hytaý zenanlarynyň dünýäsi” Held in Ashgabat

The capital hosted a Forum entitled “Türkmen-Hytaý zenanlarynyň dünýäsi” with the participation of a Chinese delegation led by the Vice Chairperson of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference Shen Yueyue, who had arrived in our country to participate in the festive events marking the 300th birth anniversary of the great classic poet of the Turkmen people Magtymguly Pyragy. The Constitution is a Symbol of Statehood

The thirty-two years that have passed since the adoption of the Constitution of Turkmenistan is a short period by historical standards. However, the reforms carried out over these years constituted a huge era in the life of our society and state. The Constitution clearly defines the democratic and legal priorities of Turkmenistan, the legal foundation of social harmony and social and legal stability. The Basic Law also provides a legal guarantee of equal international cooperation. The Constitution is also one of the key symbols of the state and legal identity of our country. The Basic Law of the country concentrates the entire system of fundamental values of civil society and predetermines their reliable protection on the basis of guaranteeing the rule of law. The national legal system, consistently improved on the basis of the Constitution, in combination with sustainable socioeconomic growth, forms the constitutional culture of society.

For the Health and Wellbeing of all Children

Multifaceted Activities of the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charity Foundation Presented to World Community A Turkmen delegation took part in the 57th Session of the Commission on Population and Development, which was held at the UN Headquarters in New York (USA) on April 29-30. The special theme of the session was “Assessing the status of implementation of the Programme of Action of the International Conference on Population and Development and its contribution to the follow-up and review of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development”. A plenary meeting of the UN General Assembly was convened on April 29 simultaneously with this event to mark the 30th anniversary of the International Conference on Population and Development (ICPD) at the initiative of the President of the UN General Assembly to review and evaluate the progress towards the implementation the ICPD+30 Programme of Action at the global level.

Links between Generations not to be Broken

A solemn event took place at the Mekan Palace in Ashgabat to commemorate Victory Day in the 1941–1945 Great Patriotic War. It was organised by the Ashgabat Hyakimlik jointly with the social and political organisations of the country. It is symbolic that cadets, military servants and university students from Ashgabat always take part in this solemn and festive event together with the veterans. When grandchildren honour the feats of arms of national heroes, there is no doubt that the links between generations will not be broken. Celebrations to commemorate this triumphant Victory of peace, friendship and goodwill worthily express the high veneration of our contemporaries for the heroic path of their ancestors and increase pride in independent neutral Turkmenistan. Participating in this event for 20 years, every year I have to accept with sadness and pain the fact that the generation with whom the heroic pages of history are associated is passing away. This year, only two of them have attended the ceremony – Antonina Pavlovna Pryanichnikova and Galina Alekseyevna Mammedova. They did not have to fight on the fronts of the Great Patriotic War, but they experienced the suffering and horrors of war in full.

Turkmenistan is a Country of Wide Investment Opportunities

This was vividly demonstrated by the International Visiting Forum to attract foreign investments in the oil and gas industry of Turkmenistan, which was held in Paris, French Republic, on April 24-25. The event was organised by the Türkmengaz and Türkmennebit State Concerns and the Türkmengeologiýa State Corporation. An active investment policy is one of the most effective tools for developing and improving the economy of each state. The purpose of investment policy is to create conditions for effective investments in the economy. First of all, the state makes efforts to attract both domestic and foreign investors to the sphere of material production and creates an appropriate investment climate.

Today, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov at the invitation of President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin as a guest of honour took part in solemn actions on the occasion of the 79th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945. At the due time, the presidential motorcade arrived in the building of the Kremlin.
