National Leader of the Turkmen People Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Visits the Centre of Motorsports of Turkmenistan

During his holidays, the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, who attaches great importance to promoting a healthy lifestyle and exercises different sports, visited the Centre of Motorsports of Turkmenistan, located in the north of the capital. Currently, much attention is being paid to promoting motorsports in the country. In this regard, consistent measures are being taken to strengthen the material and technical base of the Centre. The issues related to improving the skills of motorsports athletes and their performance at international competitions are being addressed at the state level. This gives our compatriots the opportunity to demonstrate their professionalism and show high results.

A telephone conversation took place between the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. Upon warmly greeting each other, the heads of the two states noted with satisfaction the high level of Turkmen-Kazakh relations, fruitful and strategic in nature.

National Leader of the Turkmen People, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Inspects the Progress of the Implementation of the Second Stage of the City of Arkadag

The National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty, Honorary Elder Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov made a flight over the city of Arkadag, during which he acquainted himself with the projects of industrial facilities, the pace of work and the locations of the second-stage production complexes. In the morning, the National Leader of the Turkmen people arrived at the International Airport of the capital. There, the Chairman of the State Committee for the Construction of the City of Arkadag under the President of Turkmenistan D. Orazov and Arkadag City Hyakim G. Mammedova informed of the dynamics of construction work, projects and layouts of the planned production complexes.

Turkmenistan — UN: considering all humankind benefits

Neutral Turkmenistan attaches great importance to strengthening equal and mutually advantageous international relations, including the activation of multilateral co-operation with the United Nations.5-7, the visit of United Nations Secretary General Antonio Guterres to our country and the high-level talks held within the framework of the visit were of great importance in promoting co-operation in national and general interests. In the talks between the Secretary General of the United Nations and the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the importance of the large-scale national and regional projects implemented by Turkmenistan, ensuring the overall energy security of the Turkmen side, the development of broad international co-operation in the transport and logistics sector, the thoughtful use of resources, climate change and the environment were discussed. The active role in the solution of important problems affecting all mankind, such as environmental protection, was emphasized.

The National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty, Honorary Elder Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov made a working trip to the city of Arkadag. There, the Hero-Arkadag acquainted himself with the drawings and locations of future buildings and the models of new facilities, planned for construction within the framework of the second stage, and conducted a working meeting. Currently, work on the further development of the city of Arkadag is underway. This causes a change in the architectural look of the new city in accordance with the requirements of the time. A large-scale urban planning programme, initiated by the Hero-Arkadag and now being implemented under the leadership of Arkadagly Hero Serdar, is being successfully carried out.

Democracy and Transparency – the Principlesof Turkmenistan’s Electoral System

On July 7, the elections to the Mejlis were held to replace the retired parliamentarians in Garaşsyzlyk electoral district 1, Bitaraplyk electoral district 2 and Köpetdag electoral district 6 in Ashgabat. According to election observers, the elections were another significant step to implement the progressive policy of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and to cement the democratic foundations of Turkmen society. Today, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held an enlarged meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers to sum up the results of the work of economic sectors for six months of the current year, and consider the progress in implementing the adopted programs for the socio-economic development of the country. The agenda includes identifying long-term tasks for the second half of the year and personnel issues. Reports from the Deputy Chairmen of the Cabinet of Ministers, a number of heads of government agencies, and velayat khyakims were also heard. Representatives of the Mejlis, members of the State Security Council, heads of regional administrations, Ashgabat and Arkadag cities, rectors of higher educational institutions, editors of newspapers and magazines, and other leaders were invited to the meeting.
