The National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty, Honorary Elder Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov made a working trip to the city of Arkadag, which has become a bright symbol of modern Turkmenistan and its achievements, in order to familiarise himself with the projects of facilities planned for construction in the new city and with the types of construction materials and also conducted a working meeting there with the participation of heads of relevant structures. Early in the morning, the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov arrived in the city of Arkadag.

Meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan

Today, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov has held a regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers via a digital system to sum up the results of work done in economic sectors over two months of 2024, to hear relevant reports, and to discuss priority objectives for of the country’s socio-economic development. National Leader of the Turkmen People, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Conducts a Meeting of the Presidium of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan

A meeting of the Presidium of the Halk Maslahaty was held in the building “Türkmenistanyň Maslahatlar merkezi” under the chairmanship of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. The main topic was the priority tasks for the successful implementation of the Programme of the Socioeconomic Development of Turkmenistan and Investments in 2024. The agenda also included a discussion of the Plan of forthcoming work and activities for the implementation of this Programme in the main areas of activities of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan. Opening the meeting, the National Leader of the Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted that at the recent extended sitting of the Cabinet of Ministers of the country, the results of the work carried out in 2023 on the development of our independent Motherland on a programmatic basis were summed up, tasks for the future were discussed, and appropriate decisions were made.

Extended Sitting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan

Meeting of the State Security Council of Turkmenistan

Today, President of Turkmenistan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the country, Army General Serdar Berdimuhamedov has held a regular meeting of the State Security Council. The agenda included the results of work done by the country’s military and law enforcement agencies in January 2024. Priority objectives have also been identified to maintain security and stability in our independent Homeland, strengthen the material and technical resources of security agencies, and further improve their performance. The first to speak was Secretary of the State Security Council, Minister of Defense B. Gundogdyev, who reported on the practical steps taken since the beginning of the year to strengthen the defense capability of the National Army. The impetus to important initiatives

On January 4-5, 2024 the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov paid a working visit to the United Arab Emirates. The separate agreements reached as a result of efforts of Turkmenistan and the UAE to coordinate joint efforts to develop exemplary intergovernmental relations based on the principles of equality, mutual respect, and mutual advantage formed the basis of the documents signed during this visit.

As it was reported, draft laws were currently being developed to further strengthen the legal framework for ensuring the protection of human rights and freedoms, to improve civil law relations, to save energy, to efficiently use energy and to determine the legal framework for hydrometeorological activities. At the same time, the necessary amendments and addenda are being made to the Family and Civil Procedure Codes, and the provisions of a number of laws are being brought into line with the requirements of the time.

Increasing the World Glory of the Unique Property of the Turkmen People

The National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Honorary Elder Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov visited the new Equestrian Complex of the city of Arkadag, located in a picturesque place at the foothills of the Kopetdag Mountains. There, the Hero-Arkadag went on a horseback ride and acquainted himself with the designs of buildings planned to be erected as part of the second phase of the city’s development, the decor of some objects and plans for the layout of new buildings. Following the wisdom “When you get up in the morning, visit your father and then your horse,” the Hero-Arkadag asked about the condition of the horses kept at the Equestrian Complex. In recent years, everything there has changed beyond recognition. This is vivid evidence that, as a result of the initiatives of the Hero-Arkadag and the consistent work of Arkadagly Hero Serdar, the cities and villages of the country are becoming more beautiful with every passing day. Maintaining favourable environmental conditions in the city of Arkadag is one of the main requirements for project developers and builders.
