The President of Turkmenistan Held a Working meeting

Today, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a working meeting with the participation of Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers T. Atahallyyev and khyakims of the velayats. Issues related to the progress of work in the country’s agricultural sector and the implementation of the National Rural Program were submitted for consideration. The first floor was given to the khyakim of Ahal velayat S. Soltanmyradov, who reported on the pace of seasonal agricultural campaigns.

International relations in the construction industry and energy sector – an impetus to new developments

On November 3rd, the XII International Exhibition and Conference titled «Construction, Industry, and Energy of Turkmenistan – 2024» was held at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan. This international exhibition, dedicated to the Day of Workers of the Construction and Industry Complex of our country, brought together over 100 companies from various parts of the world. In recent years, our state of Turkmenistan has expanded its cultural and economic international relations, which include international scientific and practical conferences, exhibitions, and various joint events. This is an evidence to the efforts of our Hero Arkadag and the Hero Arkadag Serdar, showing that our international relations are achieving new developments through mutually beneficial co-operation. At today’s exhibition, we decided to talk with experienced foreign businessmen participating in the exhibition called «Construction, Industry, and Energy of Turkmenistan – 2024» about new opportunities, as well as projects implemented on the basis of experience.

Ashgabat Celebrates 79th Anniversary of UN Formation

Leaders and representatives from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, the UN Resident Coordinator in Turkmenistan, heads, and staff of UN agencies in Ashgabat gathered in the office. The attendees discussed the role of the UN as an authoritative and legitimate universal international forum, a guarantor of peace preservation and maintenance, as well as a balance of interests on the international stage.

World SAMBO Championships to be held in Astana

«7/24.tm»: №45 (232) 04.11.2024 The 2024 World SAMBO Championships will be held in the capital of the Republic of Kazakhstan on November 8-10. The tournament will feature 31 sets of medals in Sport SAMBO among men and women, Combat SAMBO among men and women, and Blind SAMBO among men in the SVI-1 class (totally blind athletes). The competitions will be broadcast live on the Sambo.Live video portal.

Student-athletes succeed at Jiu-Jitsu World Championships

«7/24.tm»: №45 (232) 04.11.2024 The Turkmenistan national team showed impressive results at the Jiu-Jitsu World Championships, which took place in Heraklion, Greece. Our athletes won 5 gold, 6 silver and 10 bronze medals. The fact that the most medallists were students testifies that young people in our country have every opportunity to excel academically and display their talents in various sports. The students from the Turkmen State Institute of Physical Culture and Sports form the backbone of the national team in several sports. Along with them, the students from other institutions of higher education contribute to the medal count of the Turkmenistan team. The World Championships in Greece confirmed this once again.

The call to friendship

Sports embody the fundamental values of friendship, health and peace. Impressive work is implemented for the benefit of the people in the revival of the new epoch of the powerful state. Thanks to the concern of the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and the National Leader of the Turkmen people, our Hero-Arkadag Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, the international prestige of our country is enhanced. As is known, on September 6, the UN General Assembly, at its 107th plenary meeting of the 78th session, adopted a resolution entitled ‘United Nations Games’ as proposed by Turkmenistan and with the unanimous support of the member states. Independent, permanently neutral Turkmenistan adheres to the principles of benevolence and peace and promotes great initiatives on the world arena. These initiatives aimed at the peaceful life and brotherhood gain the interest and support of the world community, because they have key importance for a bright future. Turkmenistan implements exemplary work by promoting these initiatives. In our wonderful epoch, ample opportunities are created for the younger generations to live a healthy life and develop sports.

The pride of our people

Comprehensive work is underway to widely promote the national values of the Turkmen people in independent, permanently neutral Turkmenistan thanks to the great concern the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and our Hero-Arkadag Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov in the revival of the new epoch of the powerful state. This work is reflected in the fact that the Turkmen Alabay Day is widely celebrated on the last Sunday of October every year. To date, the Ahalteke horses, the Turkmen carpets and alabays represent the national values. Thus, the popularity of the loyal, brave, faithful Turkmen alabays is increasing every year. Moreover, scientific and practical conferences, exhibitions, beauty contests for the Turkmen alabays and other international events are held in the country on a regular basis. The international contest ‘Ýylyň türkmen edermen alabaýy’ was organized on the Turkmen Alabay Day this year. 10 alabays took part in the final stage of the international competition held at the Turkmen Alabay International Association. Thus, Akgush was awarded the title ‘Ýylyň türkmen edermen alabaýy’.

Volume XVI of the multi-volume encyclopaedic work by our Hero-Arkadag Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov ‘Medicinal Plants of Turkmenistan’ became a wonderful gift to our people. Besides the scientific research, the book includes a dictionary of names of medicinal plants, information on the methods of preparation of medicinal drinks.

Sitting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov conducted via the digital system a regular sitting of the Cabinet of Ministers, the agenda of which included a number of priority issues of the state life. The meeting was also attended by the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Hero-Arkadag. At the beginning of the sitting, the head of state gave the floor to the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.

The Country Widely Celebrates Turkmen Alabay Day

The country held celebrations to mark Turkmen Alabay Day, which included exhibitions, creative competitions for the artistic embodiment of the image of Alabay dogs in works of fine, decorative and applied arts and other cultural events. The IV Meeting of the Türkmen Alabaý Itleri International Association was held in the capital, during which new members were accepted into this organisation, and the best dog handlers of the country were awarded the honorary title “Türkmenistanyň at gazanan itşynasy”.

Built on Comprehensive Interaction

The adoption of the Resolution “Zone of Peace, Trust and Cooperation of Central Asia” at the 25th plenary meeting of the 79th Session of the UN General Assembly once again concentrated the minds of the world community in the region, where an independent culture of interstate relations has been built on comprehensive interaction and the commitment of the countries to the common goals of peace, security and sustainable development. As reported on the website of the United Nations, the document was submitted by Turkmenistan on behalf of the Central Asian countries. The Resolution is co-authored by 37 states, including Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, India, Iran, China, Russia and Türkiye. The Permanent Representative of Turkmenistan to the United Nations Aksoltan Atayeva emphasised the importance of recognising the Central Asian countries as such a zone – an international legal phenomenon that is being formed by analogy with the universally recognised and currently functioning zones of peace in the South Atlantic, Indian Ocean, Latin America and the Caribbean. The establishment of the institutional and legal framework for multilateral cooperation, laid by the countries of the region, made it possible to create a zone of peace in Central Asia.

The stable national currency influences the innovative formation of the financial market and, at the same time, the progressive, balanced growth of all sectors of the domestic economy, which is reflected in the positive dynamics of the main macroeconomic indicators. The strategic vectors of the progressive development of all the sectors without exception are reflected in the Programme “Revival of the New Era of the Powerful State: The National Programme of the Socioeconomic Development of Turkmenistan in 2022–2052 and the Socioeconomic Development Programme of the President of Turkmenistan in 2022–2028.

Today, there are many people in the International Clinical Research Centre of Physiology. Medical specialists provide consultations to patients and conduct diagnostic examinations, and hospital patients are rendered with necessary medical care and treatment, including high-tech surgeries. As is known, the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov took part in the opening ceremony of the Centre on the eve of Day of Healthcare and Medical Industry Workers.

The closing ceremony of the Days of Culture of the Republic of Armenia in Turkmenistan took place in the capital. The cultural diplomacy, actively pursued by independent neutral Turkmenistan, is bearing fruit and is serving to expand multifaceted ties with countries in the region and the world. A striking example of this is the regular bilateral dialogue in the humanitarian field: Turkmenistan and the Republic of Armenia have repeatedly held cross Days of Culture.

Arkadag Starts with a Win

These days, the group stage of the international football tournament of the 2024–2025 AFC Challenge League (Asian Football Confederation) has started in Kuwait, in which the current Turkmenistan Premier League champions – Arkadag FC is competing for medals. Our football players started with a win last weekend, beating Maziya (Maldives) with the score 2-1. The AFC Challenge League, the third most important club football competition in Asia, aims at promoting football on the continent. 18 teams, divided into 5 groups, are taking part in the competition. 3 groups are seeded in West Region, and 2 groups – in East Region. The Turkmen clubs play in West Region, from which 4 teams will advance to the final – 3 teams that rank first in the group and 1 best team that finishes in the second place in the competition. It is interesting that only 6 clubs, divided into 2 groups, play in East Region. There, too, 4 teams are qualified for the final – 2 top teams in each group. It turns out that only 2 clubs in this zone will not advance to the next stage of the competition, while, 8 teams in Western Asia will remain “overboard”.

On 30 October 2024, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov received Alexei Overchuk, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, Co-Chairman of the Intergovernmental Turkmen-Russian Commission on Economic Cooperation from the Russian side. The guest thanked the head of state for the personal meeting and conveyed to him and the National Leader of Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov warm greetings and best wishes from the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin and Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin.
