In the light of modern realities and perspectives

In connection with the latest events in the Central Asian region, the value settings of the UN General Assembly Resolution, which declared 2021 as the International Year of Peace and Trust, are gaining even greater significance. This document was unanimously adopted at the 106th plenary meeting of the 73rd session of the UN General Assembly in 2019 at the initiative of the President of Turkmenistan and 73 UN member states were its co-authors. With his initiative, the President of Turkmenistan emphasises that peace and trust in relations among states are a key value that contributes to sustainable development, peace, security and respect for human rights. Speaking about the relevance and topicality of the Resolution adopted by the Community of Nations, the head of Turkmenistan underlined peace and trust were exactly what humankind needed most of all, because at present these two inseparable concepts are becoming a key condition for cooperation and the ensuring of universal security and wellbeing. “Our initiative involves the development of specific measures aimed at reducing tension, peacefully, politically and diplomatically resolving disputes and contradictions and making responsible and balanced decisions in this regard,” the head of the Turkmen state said.

DEVELOPMENT OF INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION IN THE FIELD OF POPULARIZATION OF THE NATIONAL HERITAGE

One of the priorities of the state policy of Turkmenistan, consistently implemented by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, is the preservation and popularization of the historical and cultural national heritage in the world. An important aspect of the large-scale work carried out in this area is the development of the selection of Turkmen alabay and an increase in the number of this unique breed. On May 2020, the International Association Turkmen Alabay dogs was established, the main goal of which is to continue the best traditions of the national school of dog breeding, using methods of folk selection and modern scientific achievements to improve the most valuable qualities that distinguish Turkmen Alabay from many other breeds of dogs. On August 31, 2020, in Ashgabat, the constituent meeting of the International Association Turkmen Alabay dogs was held online in Ashgabat, in which I took part on behalf of the Cynological Federation of Georgia. I would like to thank again for the opportunity given to me to take part in this event and to congratulate Turkmenistan on the establishment of the association. The agenda included issues of reorganization of the “Association of Turkmen Alabay”, and the creation on its basis of the International Association Turkmen Alabay dogs. INTERNATIONAL FORM FINISHED SUCCESSFULLY

On August 31, 2020, the founders of the International Association Turkmen Alabay dogs held a video conference in the capial’s hotel “Archabil”. The forum, which took place in the conference hall of the “Archabil” was attended by foreign experts-heads of the state Ministry and departments, public organizations, the country’s media and key experts, as well as delegates from Armenia, Belgium, Belarus, Georgia, Iran, China, Russia, Turkey, Uzbekistan, Ukraine, France and many other countries cynology federation, associations, clubs, scientific observatory members attended online video conference. Access to water – a fundamental human right

Consistently implementing its constructive foreign policy, Turkmenistan takes an active position in promoting water diplomacy and, with its targeted initiatives, makes a worthy contribution to the development of balanced solutions related to water resources. At the Third Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia, held in the Avaza national tourism zone on August 6, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov emphasised once again that the rational use of water resources was among the main aspects of regional cooperation. This critical aspect of the policy pursued by Turkmenistan is an integral factor in global sustainable development. The UN General Assembly adopted a Resolution declaring 2018–2028 the International Decade for Action “Water for Sustainable Development”. The Decade Goals put an emphasis on sustainable development, integrated water resources management and the promotion of international cooperation in this direction.

Security Priorities — the Foundations of the Neutrality of Our Motherland

Over the years of the independent development of Turkmenistan, the principle of neutrality, which underlies both domestic and foreign policies of our country and is enshrined in its Basic Law, has firmly established itself in world politics and diplomacy as an effective and promising model of international cooperation. That is why, Turkmenistan actively uses the economic, environmental, humanitarian and other components of its foreign policy in its relations with the outside world. A Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia Held in Turkmenistan On August 6, the Third Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia, chaired by the President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, was held on the Caspian coast, in the Avaza national tourism zone. The Avaza Congress Centre became the venue for the High-Level Forum, to participate in which the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, the President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon and the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev arrived in our country.

Turkmen-Tajik relations have reached a new level of development

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov left for a working trip to the Balkan velayat to participate in the Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia, which was held in the Avaza National Tourist Zone on August 6. Transregional interrelatedness – new economic reality

The prospects of the model of mutually beneficial connectivity of Central and South Asia were discussed by the participants in the International High-Level Conference entitled “Central and South Asia: Regional Connectivity, Opportunities and Challenges”, which was held in Tashkent on July 15-16. The forum brought together 600 representatives from about 50 countries of the world. The agenda included issues of developing cooperation in the transport, logistics, energy, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres. The delegation of Turkmenistan also took part in the work of the conference and events on its side-lines. Central and South Asia are unique regions of the planet both in terms of their geographical location and resource and human potentials. The fact that in political and geographical terms South Asia includes, among others, countries such as India, Pakistan and Bangladesh, speaks for itself. The geographical position of the Central Asian region makes it a transport and transit crossroads along the South – North and East–West routes, the depths of the region store valuable deposits of hydrocarbons and rare metals, and hydro resources make up a very significant part of the world ones. Economically, Central and South Asia are the fastest growing regions in the world today.

Sphere of transportation and logistics — priority vector of economy

The favourable geographical position of Turkmenistan, the formation of regional and international transport corridors in the country and its transformation into a large transit and logistics centre create new opportunities for the development of the national economy. The country is becoming a transport and logistics hub for Central Asia. Promoting this conception, the national leader Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov emphasises the formation of a modern ramified transport and logistics system is one of the priorities of state policy aimed at the progressive socioeconomic development of the country and the establishment of broad regional and international cooperation. One of the main directions of the economic strategy of Turkmenistan is the creation of an extensive transport and logistics infrastructure in the country as an important factor in the economic and social development of the country. In this sphere, large-scale projects, including those for the modernisation of existing roads and the construction of new roads and railways, the radical renovation and expansion of the material and technical base of aviation and shipping, initiated by the esteemed President, have been successfully implemented. Some problems of export to the european union countries

In the prosperous epoch of a powerful state the increasement of export, regular development of competetiveness of high quality productions produced in our country symbolizes rapidly growth of naional economy. Achieving complience with the requirements of standards for export products is one of important goals. One of the main export directions of Turkmenistan is European Union. We are going to discuss requirements for goods exported to Europen Union. In recent days, the range of sales of agricultural products is regularly expanding. Organic products that are sold in Germany are not imported from the countries of the European Union, but from countries that are not members of it. The list of goods imported from other countries is not limited to simple agricultural products previously sold to European countries (for example, tea, coffee, and others). Now most of the goods in the markets and in stores are products supplied from abroad. For example, dry organic products are purchased in huge quantities in China. Wheat is brought from Ukraine. While the potatoes are not harvested on local farms, organic potatoes are bought in Egypt and sold in «healthy food» stores in Germany.

On June 23, within the framework of his working trip to the Lebap velayat, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov took part in the celebrations on the occasion of the opening of the International Air Harbour in Kerki.
