Respect for the great poet

A large number of events are held to celebrate the 300th anniversary of the birth of the great poet and thinker Magtymguly Pyragy. The President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov took part in the opening ceremony of the Magtymguly Pyragy Cultural Park Complex and the monument to the great poet and thinker in the unique corner of Ashgabat. This ceremony enriched the festive events of the year. The great Turkmen poet Magtymguly Pyragy is the master who left an indelible mark on the history and spiritual world of the Eastern peoples with his outstanding literary works. The poems by the thinker reflect the national spirit. His deeply meaningful literary works highlight patriotism, honesty, generosity, humanity and represent the spiritual wealth of our people and treasure of the Turkmen classical literature.

Science is the light of a bright future

The Day of Science is solemnly celebrated on June 12 every year in all parts of the country under the leadership of our President.  The widespread celebration of Science Day has a deep meaning.  Because science occupies an important place in the life of our country as a powerful transforming force of social development. Yesterday, on June 12, the international scientific conference «Science, technology and innovative technologies during the revival of the New Epoch of a Powerful State» started its work on the occasion of the widely celebrated Science Day at Oguz han Engineering and Technologies University of Turkmenistan. Along with Turkmen scientists, leaders of several foreign countries, academies of sciences, and higher education institutions participated in the two-day forum held annually by the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan in order to strengthen cooperation of mutual interest with the scientific community of the world.

Nationwide celebrations

The World Bicycle Day was traditionally widely celebrated in our country on June 3. The President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov took part in the mass cycling marathon held in the Turkmen capital on this international holiday, which entered the UN's International Calendar of Days and Weeks. Thus, the participation of the President of Turkmenistan enhanced the significance of the event. As is known, ecological issues are closely related to the social and economic policy of Turkmenistan.
