Meeting of the State Security Council of Turkmenistan
Today, President of Turkmenistan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the country, Army General Serdar Berdimuhamedov has held a regular meeting of the State Security Council to review the work results of the country’s military and law enforcement agencies over three months of this year. The agenda also included issues of maintaining security and peace in our independent Homeland, strengthening the material and technical resources of law enforcement agencies, and further improving their performance. The first to speak was Secretary of the State Security Council, Minister of Defense B. Gundogdyev, who reported on the measures taken since the beginning of the year for the successful implementation of the Program for the Development of the Armed Forces of Turkmenistan, and strengthening the country’s defense capability. At the same time, a report was delivered on the progress of transferring to the reserve a conscript military servants and the regular conscription of citizens for military service. The report also covered the work ongoing to improve the service and social conditions and the training of highly qualified military personnel.
