Session of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan

On February 19, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has held regular video conference session of the Cabinet of Ministers where actual issues of the state life as well as drafts of some documents have been reviewed. Coming over to the agenda, the head of the state has given the floor to Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers G. Mushshikov, the vice-premier has reported on the Plan of works and activities in 2021, which has been developed based on the analysis of the outcomes of working sessions on the branches of national economy dedicated to the results of the last year and taking into account the assignments and objectives given by the head of the state.

Extended session of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan

On February 12, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has held an extended session of the Cabinet of Ministers, at which the results of the work of the Government for 2020 and January of this year were reviewed, reports of vice-premiers, number of ministers and heads of the regions were presented. Priority issues of the country's social and economic development were also discussed and key tasks for the sectors of the national economy for the current year were outlined. The leaders of the Mejlis, members of the State Security Council, heads of administrations of the regions, districts and the capital, media, rectors of universities as well as other officials were invited to the meeting.

Extended session of the Cabinet of Ministers and State Security Council of Turkmenistan

On February 11, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has held video conference extended joint session of the Cabinet of Ministers and State Security Council. Heads of ministries and departments, higher educational institutes and mass media, regional and capital’s administrations have been invited. The head of the state has noted that working session with heads of all branches have been held in the last few days. Outcomes of work in the last year have been summed up and organizational measures for elimination of admitted deficiencies have been planned at these sessions.

The President of Turkmenistan holds a meeting on the implementation of the country's foreign policy

On February 9, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has held video conference session where the results of activities on the implementation of the foreign policy course of independent neutral Motherland in 2020 were reviewed and priority tasks for the current year were identified. The meeting was attended by some Deputy Chairmen of the Cabinet of Ministers, heads of relevant structures and specialized universities.

Training Seminars Held in the Velayats and the City of Ashgabat in Accordance with the Plan

Within two days, on February 2-3, specialists of the Office of the Central Election Commission for holding elections and referenda in Turkmenistan organised the first setting seminars with members of the halk maslahaty of velayats, etraps and towns and with members of the velayat and Ashgabat city election commissions. The events were organised locally in all velayats and in the capital city within the framework of the Work Plan approved by the Central Election Commission for the preparation and conduct of elections of members of the Halk Maslahaty of the Milli Gengesh of Turkmenistan. The main task set was to highlight the most important issues on the organisation and conduct of the election campaign.

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov makes working trip around the capital

On January 26, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has made working trip around the capital, having inspected the construction of the Garagum hotel with multi-profile business center and park located nearby as well as Ashgabat – Turkmenabat highway. Some Deputy Chairmen of the Cabinet of Minister, heads of Ashgabat Administration, some ministries and profile departments have met the head of the state at the facilities, which are built in the northern part of the capital.

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov makes working trip around the capital

On January 25, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov made a working trip around the capital, during which inspected the construction of some important facilities and projects of integrated modernization of social infrastructure of the city as well expressed interest in work for breeding of Turkmen shepherds, which are national heritage of Turkmen people. Minister of Industry and Construction Production, Chairman of International Turkmen Shepherd Dog Association S. Berdimuhamedov and Chairman of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs D. Hudayberdiyev have reported on the situation at profile facilities, which are under construction at work request of International Turkmen Shepherd Dog Association.

Session of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan

On January 22, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has held video conference session of the Cabinet of Ministers where current issues of the state life have been discussed and drafts of some documents aimed at further social and economic development of the country have been reviewed. In the beginning of the session, Vice-premier G. Mushikov has reported on the Draft Resolution on privatization of some buildings in Ashgabat as well as on the work carried out by the Committee on precious stones and germs.

President of Turkmenistan inspects new construction sites of the capital

On January 18, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov have made working trip around the capital with some Deputy Chairmen of the Cabinet of Ministers, having inspected the course of construction of Congress Center, fashionable Arkadag Hotel and the Government tribune, which construction was entrusted to Bouygues Batiment International. During the trip, the Head of the State has proceeded to big facilities, which are under construction along Chandybil Avenue in the southern part of Ashgabat. Congress Center of Turkmenistan, where international forums are planned to be organized, was the first destination point.

Offsite session of the Cabinet of Ministers

On January 14, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, who has come on a working trip to Lebap region, held offsite extended session of the Cabinet of Ministers in the Ruhiyet Palace. Life activity of the State have been reviewed and drafts of some documents have been reviewed at the session. In the beginning, Speaker of the Mejlis G. Mammedova has informed about activity of National Parliament for further modernization of legal and regulatory base of the country as well as on explanatory and propaganda work of the deputies on sites. Based on proposals received to the Cabinet of Ministers from profile ministries and departments, the main directions of further law-making activity of the Mejlis are determined.

Session of the State Security Council of Turkmenistan

On January 6, the President of Turkmenistan, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces of the country Army General Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has held first session of the State Security Council this year. Outlining the subjects of the agenda, the Head of the State has noted that outcomes of work of military and law enforcement agencies in 2020 would be summed up and objectives for the near future would be determined at the session.

On January 4, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has held the first video conference working session with participation of some Deputy Chairmen of the Cabinet of Ministers, heads of the capital and regions in 2021, which is held under slogan “Turkmenistan – Home of Peace and Trust”. The agenda of the session included further social and economic development of the country, realization of fundamental reforms in agricultural complex, construction of facilities, which opening is timed to the celebration of the 30th anniversary of the Motherland’s independence. The President has summed up the outcomes of the expiring year, which was held under slogan “Turkmenistan – Home of Neutrality”. Despite the complicated situation in the world, Turkmenistan has managed to achieve stable development of national economy in 2020. Numerous social and production facilities have been built and put into operation. Thousands of happy families have celebrated house-warming parties. Number of international projects, which are to turn the country into new important link of regional and interregional transport and communication system is under implementation. The Leader of the Nation has mentioned success in agriculture, health protection, science and sports and highlighted important role of culture and art in study and enrichment of cultural heritage of the nation.

Joint session of the Cabinet of Ministers and State Security Council of Turkmenistan

On December 30, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has held last in this year joint session of the Cabinet of Ministers and State Security Council in the Ruhiyet Palace. Heads of the regions and Ashgabat have also been invited to the session. First, the floor was given to Speaker of the Mejlis G. Mammedova who has informed on fulfilment of the request of the Head of the State for definition of the slogan and emblem of the next year, on announcement of “Turkmenistan – Home of Peace and Trust” as a slogan of 2021 and presented the project of the emblem of the year to the Leader of the Nation for review.
