Priorities of regional development of the country in agenda of working video conference session

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has held regular video conference session with participation of the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, who supervises agricultural complex, and heads of the regions. Issues of social and economic development, seasonal agricultural works and preparation to holidays have been reviewed at the session. First, head of Ahal Region Ya. Gurbanov has reported on the situation in the region. In particular, the information about agricultural works, measures for improvement of social and living conditions of the population of the region, construction of various facilities, which opening is timed to the 30th anniversary of neutrality, has been presented.

Chairman of the Central Election and Referendum Commission in Turkmenistan G. Myradov presented identification of member of the People’s Council of National Assembly to President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. Foundation of fundamentally new two-chamber structure of National Parliament at the initiative of Turkmen leader will directly support to the strengthening of legal bases of development of sovereign Turkmenistan, to enhancement of efficiency of work of the government authorities.

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov is elected as a member of the People’s Council of National Assembly

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has held regular video conference session of the Cabinet of Ministers where priority issues of the state life have been reviewed. Opening the session and addressing its participants, the head of the state has noted that the elections of members of new constitutional body – the People’s Council, have been held in Turkmenistan on March 28. Its foundation will be a historical event for the future of our state. This body will provide steadfast implementation of large-scale programs, which are developed and introduced by the Government together with people of the country for happy life of Turkmenistan citizens and future of the Motherland.

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has held a regular video conference session of the Cabinet of Ministers. Coming over to the subjects of the agenda, the head of state gave the floor to Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers G. President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has made a working trip around the capital. During the trip, the head of the state has inspected the situation in the southern part of Turkmen capital where construction of business and social facilities is carried out at this time. In the morning, the head of the state has come to the construction site of mud stream diversion channels and water collection facilities.

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has made working trip around the capital and Ahal Region, having inspected the situation at construction sites of number of facilities and new modern center of regional administrative center. President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held a working meeting with the participation of the Deputy Chairmen of the Cabinet of Ministers, members of the State Security Council, as well as heads of a number of ministries and sectoral departments. Outcomes of activity of security forces for two months of the year summed up at the session of the State Security Council

President of Turkmenistan, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces of the country, Army General Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has held regular session of the State Security Council. Outcomes of activity of military and law enforcement agencies for two months of 2021, which is held under slogan “Turkmenistan – Home of Peace and Trust”, have been summed up at the session. Provision of security and peace in our independent state, strengthening of equipment and facility base of security forces, further improvement of their activity, control of the state property including financial resources, introduction of digital system and other issues were among discussed subjects.

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has met with the country's parliamentary corps, at which the tasks of National parliament as well as the priority areas of legislative work at the next stage of development of the independent Turkmen state in the era of power and happiness were specified. Prior to the meeting, the head of state has held a session exchanging views with the leaders of the Mejlis, political parties and public organizations on the key tasks of further development of independent neutral Motherland in 2021, the motto of which is "Turkmenistan – Home of Peace and Trust."

The President of Turkmenistan holds session on preparation to celebration of the 140th anniversary of Ashgabat and development of the capital

February 24, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has visited the city administration of the capital where he held the session dedicated to preparation to the celebration of the 140th anniversary of Ashgabat and its further development as well as checked new project of urban development including relevant engineering, road and transport infrastructures, special features of design of future facilities and development of surrounding territory. Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, who is in charge of the capital, has reported on new projects, their implementation, details of decoration of the buildings to be erected as well as their location.

Peace-building is the basis of the policy of neutral Turkmenistan (2021 Turkmenistan – the homeland of peace and trust)

Turkmenistan pursues foreign policy based on the principles of positive neutrality, peace-loving, open doors, good neighborliness and equal beneficial co-operation with countries of the world. Today, our country closely co-operates with the UN, OSCE, EU, CIS and other authoritative international organizations on pressing issues of international agenda. Under the wise leadership of our esteemed President, Turkmenistan's foreign policy plays an influential role in international relations. Last year our country widely celebrated 25th anniversary of its permanent neutrality. The year 2020 entered in the history of our sovereign as one of the most important date. Co-operation of Turkmenistan with the United Nations Organization is built on the principles of strategic partnership and has received new content at modern time. The United Nations highly value Turkmenistan's political role in the region and the world, which is an authoritative member that plays a weighty and important role. As is known, UN General Assembly adopted relevant Resolutions «On Permanent Neutrality of Turkmenistan», including the Resolution at its 75th session in December 2020 on «The Role and Importance of a Policy of Neutrality in Maintaining and Strengthening International Peace, Security and Sustainable Development» with the unanimous support of the UN member states.
