Release of book of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov “Spiritual World of Turkmens” has become a new sign of traditionally friendly and fraternal relations between Turkmenistan and the Republic of Uzbekistan. The book is some kind of a symbol of fruitful interstate dialog, which is based on mutual goodwill, historical and cultural relations uniting two neighboring nations, which were formed for the centuries.

“With deep sorrow we have received the news of the death of your honourable father, Myalikguly Berdimuhamedov, whose selfless work and services to the Turkmen state and people will be best remembered. “I express my condolences to Your Excellency and the people of Turkmenistan over this great loss. I pray to the Almighty to bestow his mercy on the deceased and send fortitude to you and your family”, the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Hassan Rouhani expresses his sympathy. 

“Passing of a loved one is a huge grief and a terrible loss, leaving a non-healing wound in a soul. In this difficult hour, I wish you, dear Gurbanguly Myalikgulyevich, courage and ask you to accept my sincere words of sympathy and support for your family”, President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko says in his letter. “With deep sorrow and regret we learned about the death of your father, Myalikguly Berdimuhamedov. On behalf of the people of Ukraine and on my own behalf, I express my sincere condolences to your family and the friendly people of Turkmenistan over this terrible loss”, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky expresses his condolences.

“Please accept my deepest condolences over the death of your father, Myalikguly Berdimuhamedov. Passing of such a dear person is the hardest, terrible loss. I sincerely share your pain and sorrow. I wish you, your family and friends, courage and resilience in this difficult hour”, President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin expresses his words of support.  “With deep sorrow I received the news of the death of your father, Myalikguly Berdimuhamedov. May the soul of the deceased rest in paradise, may Allah accept him into his place. I pray to the Almighty to send fortitude and endurance to you, your family members and close ones”, President of the Republic of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan expresses his condolences.

“Please accept my deepest condolences over the passing of your father. I express my sincere sympathy and support to you and your family members over this terrible loss”, says President of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping in his message.  “I have received the news of the death of your respected father, Myalikguly Berdimuhamedov, with a feeling of deep sadness. Please accept our sincere condolences over your terrible loss. I wish you, your relatives and friends longanimity and patience in this difficult time”, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon addresses words of support.

On April 18, in the holy month of Ramadan, at the age of 89, the father of the President of Turkmenistan, Myalikguly Berdimuhamedov, passed away. The Turkmen people received this bitter news with deep sorrow.  The rich life path of Myalikguly Berdimuhamedov, who dedicated his life to his native people and beloved Motherland, is an unparalleled example of high humanism. Myalikguly Berdimuhamedov's childhood fell on the years of the harsh war of the last century.

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov was elected as the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty (People's Council) Chamber of the new bicameral parliament - Milli Gengesh (National Assembly). The election took place within the framework of the first session of the chamber, held in the building of the Halk Maslahaty Administration, which was solemnly opened on April 14. The candidacy of a member of the chamber - Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov was proposed for the post of Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty.

On occasion of the sacred for the entire Muslim ummah the month of Oraza, congratulatory messages are addressed to President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov expressed deep condolences to Elizabeth II Queen of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland over the death of her spouse, His Excellency Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh. “In this difficult moment, I wish you fortitude, and also ask you to convey my sincere condolences and words of support to family members, as well as to the entire people of the United Kingdom,” says the President of Turkmenistan in his message.

The President of Turkmenistan donated half of his monthly salary to the Charitable Foundation for Assisting Children in Need of Custody, opened on March 29, 2021. Announcing the decision on opening the Foundation during a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan last week, the President of Turkmenistan underlined that it would allow bringing the humanistic principles of our ancestors to realization.
