Preamble The 75th anniversary session of the General Assembly is a major event in the activities of the entire United Nations system. It is intended to give an objective assessment of the role of the UN in the modern world and to consolidate its universal recognition as the most authoritative, legitimate universal international forum, the main framework of the existing system of global interaction and the guarantor of the preservation and maintenance of peace, the balance of interests on the international arena and the stability of the existing security architecture.

Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, Rashid Meredov aheld online meeting with Minister of Roads and Urban Development of the Islamic Republic of Iran Mohammad Eslami. It was emphasized that the foreign policy of our country prioritized the development of international relations based on the ties of friendship and mutual respect, primarily with the closest neighbors.

Representatives of the Ministry of Trade and Foreign Economic Relations took part in an online meeting with the heads of the EXPO-2020 steering committee. The organizational issues of the global forum were discussed during the meeting. As reported, taking into account the epidemiological situation in the world, Turkmenistan supported the initiative put forward by the UAE to postpone EXPO-2020 to next year.

In his address to President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, President of the United States of America, Donald Trump expressed gratitude to the Turkmen leader on behalf of the people of his country for congratulations on the 244th anniversary of US independence.

In accordance with the Resolution of the President of Turkmenistan dated August 4, 2020, humanitarian aid - medical equipment was sent to Afghanistan. In accordance with the document, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Health and Medical Industry are instructed to donate medical equipment for polymerase chain reaction (Real-time PCR) to the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan as humanitarian aid.

Serving literature for many years, with your works you have won the trust of readers, respect and recognition of our people, who honor a word. To gain recognition as a poet who has found the way in the literary field is a high honor and an honorary degree for a person who knows the art of words.

President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov expressed condolences to President of the Republic of India Ram Nath Kovind and Prime Minister of the country Narendra Modi in connection over a passenger plane crash at the Kozhikode Calicut International Airport, Kerala state that caused numerous human losses and injuries. On behalf of the people and the Government of the country, as well as on his own behalf, the President of Turkmenistan conveyed the words of deep simpathy and support to the families and friends of the victims, as well as the wishes for a speedy recovery to the injured.

President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov expressed deep condolences to President of Lebanon, Michel Naim Aoun over the explosion in the port of Beirut, which caused numerous injuries and large-scale destructions. On behalf of the people and the Government of the country, as well as on his own behalf, the President of Turkmenistan conveyed the words of deep empathy and support to the families, relatives and friends of the victims and wishes of a speedy recovery to the injured.

President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov expressed condolences to President of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping over the victims, injured and significant damages caused by severe floods in several provinces of the country. On behalf of the people, the Government of the country, as well as on his behalf, the President of Turkmenistan conveyed the words of empathy and support to the families and friends of the victims and wished speedy recovery to the injured.

The President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov signed the Resolutions for support of increment of volumes of high-quality, competitive local production sold in foreign markets as well as implementation of objectives of the Programme of social and economic development of the country in 2019 – 2025 and the Programme of development of foreign activity of Turkmenistan in 2020 – 2025. According to the document, the Strategy of Turkmenistan to support the activity for organization of exhibitions, fairs and conferences in 2020 – 2025 and Action Plan for its implementation have been approved.
