The President of Turkmenistan: Rational use of land and water resources is the basis of food abundance

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has made a working trip to Ahal Region inspecting production activity of Miwe Open Joint Stock Company and facilities of its engineering and technical infrastructure. Matters related to rational use of water in agricultural complex and water management sphere in general were the subjects of close attention of the head of the state. Comprehensive development of agricultural complex and best optimal implementation of its potential are priorities of economic strategy of Turkmenistan targeted to reformation and modernization of all branches of national economy on innovative basis. Large-scale reforms in agricultural sphere are aimed at its diversification, wide implementation of digital technologies, and increment of production volumes of various quality agricultural products.

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has held video conference session with participation of some Deputy Chairmen of the Cabinet of Ministers, heads of the regions and Ashgabat as well as Minister of Health Protection and Medical Industry. Issues related to fulfilment of objectives set out in the Program of social and economic development of the regions, seasonal agricultural works as well as preparation to coming celebration events were reviewed at the session. First, the head of the state has called Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Sh.Durdiliyev who is in charge of the capital and head of Ashgabat’s Administration Ya. Gylyjov.

The opening ceremony of the Center of International Ahalteke Horse Association and International Association «Türkmen alabaý itleri» has been held in the capital. On the same day, regular session of International Association «Türkmen alabaý itleri» timed to Turkmen Shepherd Dog Holiday, which according to relative Order of the head of the state would be annually observed on the same day with National Turkmen Horse Holiday on the last Sunday of April, has taken place.
